I was planning on laying out that morning then saw that I was in fact the Q so it was time to suck it up.  I wanted to get a solid workout in before the Independence Day festivities began and at the same time I didn’t want to scare off an FNG or some of our members in the “back in the saddle program”.  Due to the holiday schedule it looked like a light crowd with just Wifi and myself then at the last moment our numbers tripled.  Due to the decreased traffic in Beaufort as of late we have some scenic vehicle free areas to stretch out in.  Leaving the Dockhouse for a quick stretch and warm up at the Courthouse, (Dockhouse Courthuse whats the difference?) then onto the historic old drawbridge.  This would be a simple workout with a beautiful view over Town Creek and the Beaufort “I left my bait out in the sun” aroma we have grown so fond of and it went like this.

Starting at the road closed barrier with

10 Hand Release Merkins

10 World War 1

Run to the base of the drawbridge and repeat above.

15 HRM

15WW1

Run to the drawbridge and repeat

20 HRM

20 WW1

Run to the drawbridge and repeat

15 HRM

15WW1

Run to the drawbridge and repeat

10 HRM

10 WW1

Run to the drawbridge and repeat

This giving a total of 140 Hand Release Merkins and World War 1s.

Mosey through the side streets back to the Dockhouse for the naming ceremony of Kraton, welcome!

Plenty of sweat with some light banter along the way, that by definition is Beaufort style.
