Sixteen men joined YHC on a clear but chilly Carterico morning for a workout that contained maybe a few more Merkins than usual.  Man tights were on full display and a few toboggans were spotted.  Fall has arrived and hopefully it stays rather than morphing right into Winter.  As the first of several white trucks started to arrive around 0520, there was a certain amount of excitement in the air.  Nothing like a cool fall morning to get the blood flowing.  Shortly after the one minute warning was issued, Jang boldly announced that if YHC called for even one Burpee, then he was headed back to the truck and driving home. Jang had his fill of Burpees at the  HP on Saturday, courtesy of Bono, as did most of us. What a great Q he was.   YHC clearly stated in his pre-blast not to expect many Burpees at all.  Well, YHC had to call Jang out on this one and at exactly 0530 YHC welcomed all to the Table Setter and quickly called for two Burpees.  Jang stayed for the duration and YHC kept his promise.

We moseyed down Evans St. and turned left onto 4th St. then circled up in the large parking lot for some warm-a-rama which included mountain climbers, downward dog and up dog, left over right/ right over left, sun gods and a few other odds and ends that YHC cannot remember as of this writing.  To finish up, YHC offered the PAX 30 seconds to stretch as they pleased.

In light of the fact that all 3 Tobacco Road schools lost on Saturday and that the Pack faced a brutal beatdown and the Heels played well but not quite well enough, YHC felt that at least some of the PAX were frustrated by their favorite schools’ performance.  UNC allowed Syracuse to score 40 and the Pack let Clemson score 41.  So to help the PAX get over their frustration of not winning YHC figured 81 Merkins would do the trick and nearly everyone would feel better.  Off we went with YHC calling the count to 81.  We stopped 5 or so times to regroup, never resting for more than a few seconds before rejoining the count. The last 11 reps were brutal.   81  Merkins and it wasn’t even 0545 yet.   Strong work men.

Back to the beginning of 4th street YHC called for a 5 10 5 workout. 8 minutes go on the clock and the PAX would do 5 LSF I/C, 10 squats S/C and 5 LBC I/C, all OYO.  After finishing the set, we would run to a cone that was placed around 75 yards away and repeat the exercises.  The idea was to get as many sets as possible in those 8 minutes.

Next was a two line Indian Run to Big Rock Landing for two rounds of dips I/C x 10 and two rounds of dirkins, S/C to 15.

Running toward 11th st. we stopped at a public access for the following:   Bear Crawl to the end of the parking lot which felt much longer but was probably 20 yards at most, then Bear Crawl back.  Quickly partner up and partner A wheelbarrows partner B up and then switch for the return trip back.   Then partner dirkins with partner A’s feet on his partners back for 15 dirkins, switch up and repeat.  Two sets total.

We than ran to JayCee Park for Curb Merkins.  Face east with right hand and right foot on the curb, left hand and left foot on the road.  Ten Merkins then face west and repeat.

Running short on time, we hustle to Southern Salt for some good old fashion partner carries.  Ride on your partners’ back to failure then switch up.

No time for Mary so praises and prayer requests were asked for.  Lassies brother in his battle with cancer, Nipple Shot in the loss of his best childhood friend and another family member of his that is fighting cancer.   The shooting death in Newport over the weekend.

YHC took us out.

What a beautiful morning for a workout. After receiving a belly full of Burpees on Saturday with Bono, YHC promised and delivered a Burpee light workout.  Jang, aren’t you glad you stayed!?

It is always a pleasure to lead and enjoy the company and share the pain of an F3Carterico workout.  I cannot imagine being with a greater group of men or a prettier AO.  Thanks for posting and for your support!
