Wow it is windy and I realized on the way there that much of our low lying AO may be underwater.  I was glad I was early to recon to try and find a few places without 6” of water on it.  I was super excited because I was not only getting to lead but I was gonna get the opportunity to lead a Q school.  I love F3 so much and it is always a joy to talk to people about not only the “What” but more importantly the “Why” we do things the way we do.  We have much sickness and bad weather so was not expecting a large crowd, but let me tell you these guys that did show were excited for this Q School.

We started off with Mission Statement (the why we are here).  The disclaimer (the necessities).  Introducing any FNGs and it is time to roll.  I discussed the main format of the actual exercise portion. 1. Warmarama (No Stretching), 2. The Thang (beatdown), 3. Mary (Core Work).

WARMARAMA:

We were off for a rolling Mary with pauses to include (SSH, Sun Gods, Imperial Walkers, Hill Billies, and Goof Balls).  I took the opportunity to explain “The SIX”.  We leave no one behind, but there is an appropriate way.  It is not the Qs job to get the 6, he appoints someone, the Q should stay with the lead group leading other exercises until the 6 arrive.  That way all are continue to workout.

THANG 1:

DORA: to include 100 Merkins, 200 Monkey Humpers, 300 Plank Jacks, 400 Air Presses.  The PAX were requested to do LBCs OYO until the 6 are finished.

THANG 2:

11s: to include Hand Release Merkins and Monkey Humpers.  Once again the PAX were requested to do LBCs OYO until the 6 are finished.

MARY:

We took the opportunity to allow each PAX to practice his “How to Count” skills.  I apologize that I did not leave us more time for this at the end but everyone did a great job with it.

COT:  Proper Order

1. Count Off, 2. Namarama, 3. Name FNGs, 4. Announcements, 5. Prayer Requests, 6. BOM (Ball of Man or Prayer)

MOLESKIN: As many of you know I love to talk about F3 during the workouts and this was no exception the thing that really impressed me was the extreme interest the guys had today in what I was actually saying.  They all asked questions and seemed completely interested in learning how to be a better Q.  I really appreciate you guys showing so much interest in this thing and caring so much to show up.

SIDE NOTE:  They also learned that you can have some talking, get a beatdown with sore muscles to include 2 miles of running, with none of the non runners feeling like they had run very far and the runners feeling like they got a full workout in also.
