Everyone has their own battles they are going through. Being a part of F3 has definitely displayed extreme courage by the PAX and their M’s as battles such as losing loved ones, cancer and other sicknesses, as well as our entire community being ravaged by storms just to name a few. YHC has witnessed the strength and courage of his M as she has battled breast cancer this year while working together with me to raise the two amazing boys that we have fostered for over a year.

Some days, the PAX isn’t able to post at the 1st F locations, maybe due to sickness or injury or obligations or excuses… however, there is never an option not to post at home. No matter the circumstances. Our families deserve our best. No fartsacking. No excusing. No modifying (or cheating lol). Our best.

The texts, calls and constant support while YHC hasn’t been able to post at workouts as much has meant more than you guys will ever know. It helped me to stay tied in. It helped me to stay strong. It gave me life and the strength to press on. Thank you. You have helped my family in more ways through the things we have been battling than you will ever know, and I hope that through the years, we continue to do just that for one another.

This morning was the first boot camp YHC has led since he found out his M’s diagnosis, so excitement was high as well as trepidation at the ability to perform due to it being so long.

Hardstart was called at 5:30 with the Mission Statement and the welcome. After some sun gods, 2 burpees OYO for Kiwi’s arrival, imperial squat walkers (with a little bit of adjusting so a rhythm could be found) and then a few more burpees due to the mumblechatter at the amount of burpees performed for Kiwi, it was time for Thing 1.

Line up looking at 15 parking lines ahead. Stay with your partner, run to the first line, complete 10 SC merkins and backpedal to the start and continue the process doing 10 merkins at each line for a total of 150. YHC began to feel smoked in his shoulders, partly due to Purple Rain’s bands workout the previous day and Linus deciding to tell YHC that some bands were tougher than others and allowing me to have the “tougher” band. Thanks bro. So YHC split up the next 8 or so stops by sprinkling in some LBC’s IC (100) and some Freddy Mercuries IC (60).

Thing 2 was a rather large circle formed slower than YHC would have preferred for some Howling Monkeys. The PAX stays low holding their ankles until it was their turn to bust out 10 Monkey Humpers. The burn was legit and real but it is always cool seeing men push themselves, especially guys that are newer like Rerun and McSketti. After one round was over, the PAX was delighted to learn that round 2 was to follow. YHC encouraged the PAX that the end was almost in sight, to which many noted that YHC does that all throughout the workout, questioning the integrity of his encouragement. Workout complete, a little shaking was done as a mosey was taken to line up on another curb for

Thing 3. The Beast. YHC has never liked 6,6,6 and had adapted a workout first experienced in Raleigh at the Floodzone and named it “Perfection” and changed the numbers to 7,7,7. However, YHC was toast already and went with the lesser of the two numbers (but maybe not evils??) YHC did the closest thing to a 10 count he likes to do by reminding the PAX of the strength of folks who don’t have a choice but to give it their all such as battling cancer (Like Blart’s and Snookie’s M’s) and challenged them to dig deep and not to cheat themselves. 2 Cones and the end of the Parking Lot were the stops for a round of Burpees (36) and Hand Release Merkins (36). Some Low Slow Flutters were knocked out as well.

Thing 4- Frisbee Golf. 2 holes were called and the PAX would rotate turns throwing, running to the landing zone of the frisbee after each through and performing 2 burpees. For some reason, guys stoped stepping up and PR called um out as he should, but McSketti got us in for the first hole with a tap in and then YHC modified the last hole location and ended up being a tapin on Purple Rain at the Shovel Flag.

17 PAX strong today. Linus’s 2.0 got a shout out for his hard work. It was an honor to lead today. Princess is the best host of any Site Q in Carterico. It’s crazy what he does to make it a great environment. Thanks man. Thanks to Cooter for letting me have his Q. Didn’t mean ya didn’t have to come!

Today was hard on me personally from a physical standpoint. I just don’t have it right now like I used to, but it was amazing being back out. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers for Ashley and our boys and myself. She has one more surgery at Christmas time and then we are believing 2020 to be a much better year 🙂 YHC took the PAX out in prayer and it was off to the rest of the day (or the food table).
