We’re just dancin’ in the dark

Since YHC had never had the opportunity to post at the Swashbuckler, let alone Q, he didn’t realize how dark the WCHS bleachers and track could be at 0 dark thirty.  This would have been good intel to have while preparing the plans for the workout.  But, being an engineer, YHC is not good at deviating from the plan so once it was on the Winkie, it was not changing.  You will see what I’m talking about later in this report.

YHC was the 1st to arrive at the AO, excited about his Swashbuckler VQ.  He had Q’d the Hero Patriot at WCHS but still this felt different.  There was a cold WNW breeze blowing and a reminder that it ain’t Shack season yet when I exited the truck to fist bump Cooter and Ronnie B who had pulled into the parking lot.  Cooter and I shared stories of changing fuel filters on our F250 Super Duty diesel engines (grunt, spit).  Six more hearty souls (minus Bambard who had HC’d the previous day) soon rolled into the parking lot and before we knew it, it was time to get going.

• Partner up for Dora with Pax 1 running bleacher snakes while Pax 2 does the exercise.  The exercises were 100 Merkins, 200 LBC’s, 300 Squats.  It was here that I discovered that those bleachers are as dark as a black cow at midnight.  Dang, this was not a good idea.  Oh well, too late now.

• Mosey to the bench between the weight room and locker room (I had to get the Pax out of the wind, poor Newman has 1% body fat and was about to freeze solid) for Urkins, Dips, and Derkins X 15 SC (2 rounds)
• Back to the track for another Indian Run, this time with Air Presses
• Back to the bench for another round of Urkins, Dips, and Derkins X 15 SC
• Over to the wall for People’s chair with each of the Pax giving a 15 count
• Mosey back to the flag

My crush on Courtney Cox was started in 1984 when she made an appearance at the end of this video.  I miss MTV when they showed music videos.  Martha Quinn was HOT!
