YHC awoke today with a sadness and a feeling of leadership.  The sadness comes from handing over the keys for The Knarr after a year of fun.  Don’t get me wrong, there were times when YHC was ready to pull the plug due to lack of interest, but held on and pushed through all of the low pax counts, rainy weather, cold weather, hot weather, you name it we all (every AO) had it.  I believe those minor tribulations shows the testicular fortitude for a Site Q.  What I fail to mention in that statement is the encouragement from the pax.  This is what it is all about, leading and shaping new HIM’s into leaders themselves.  You can never tell when you have made an impact until you get that first HC of someone looking forward to your Q.  So on with the backblast.  Arriving at the site, I found several of the usual suspects and a couple of new, definitely strong pax looking forward to a good beatdown.  YHC planted the flag and gave cordial greetings, with the time countdown.  As stated in YHC’s preblast it would be the same type of workout as when YHC started the site.  Newport shoes, headlights, and gloves recommended.

F3 mission stated like a boss, disclaimer, and modify if needed was orated.  On to the Warmarama.

WARMARAMA

  1. Mosey with first stop 20 SSH IC
  2. Mosey with second stop 15 Imperial Walkers IC
  3. Mosey with third stop Sun Gods IC forward and backward.

Mosey to the trail for The Thang.

THE THANG

  1. 1st Stop  20 Diamond Merkins SC, 20 Double wide Merkins SC, 20 Tempo Merkins IC, 20 Carolina Dry Docks SC, Pax holding plank position while each pax goes to the bench and performs 10 Erkins SC.
  2. 2nd Stop  20 LBC’s IC, 15 Box Cutters IC, 20 Boss Tweeds IC, 15 Pickle Pounders IC.
  3. 3rd Stop  20 Merkins SC, 20 Air Presses IC, 20 Carolina Dry Docks SC, 20 Air Presses IC
  4. 4th Stop  20 Heels to the sky SC, 10 Dr. W’s (8 count), 20 American Hammers IC, 20 Dying Cockroaches IC.

Mosey over to the far end of the parking lot to finish off the trail (1 mile).  Pax stayed together pretty well today so we did not have to wait for the 6.  Global Warming was called for next.  Pax all in the Al Gore position, Q would call a direction, and during the rotation Q would call out an exercise.  Exercises would be performed then back to the Al Gore for another round.  Exercises performed were Burpees (Pasqually says it is not an exercise without them), Monkey Humpers, Low SLOW flutters, Hello Dollies.  Since there was enough time over to the pavilions for the Holy Trinity – Dips, Erkins, Derkins 10,10,10,5,5,5 then off to the parking lot with enough time for YHC’s favorite exercise the Captain Therkins.  Modified Jack Webb series – 1 WWI SC x 4 American Hammers IC + 5 Merkins SC up to 5 WWI’s SC x 20 American Hammers IC + 5 Merkins.  Totally wore out we had time for Protractor to the hard stop.

Proctor brought up the fact that it was YHC’s last day as well as his last day at work ( All the best on your retirement Proctor)  To honor that we took a picture around the flag.  It has been a great year at the Knarr and also with the men of F3.  I have faltered and lost sight of the reason for F3 and been brought back to reality by the strong men of F3 around me, for that I thank all of you.  It was great to see Griswold come all the way down for my handing over of the keys.  I believe that Buckeye and Ricardo together will make the Knarr grow and shape the minds and bodies of all HIM’s new or old.  I would not have picked either of you if I did not believe you had it in you to lead.  Leading is a large part of being the Site Q.  There are other things to do but none as important as helping boost the Q for that day.  Lead on men, I look forward to your leadership.

Announcements were made.  Prayer concerns and YHC took us out reminding everyone about leading and staying the path of light that has been made for us to follow.  Even though we are human and falter, the path stays the same.

For the last time as Site Q of the Knarr –  Blart out.
