Oh wow where to start.  So, YHC was feeling very under the weather in the PM and he had to put a workout together as noted by Griswold on Wednesday at the Hole in None.  So we persevered and put together what we thought would be a strong workout without a lot of mileage.  (Haha)  At least that is what was in the preblast.  After some hard core medicine and 10 hours of sleep, YHC was at least motivated to crawl out of bed and administer what I thought would help the men.  Funny how things happen, I was thinking, as Snooki passed YHC on Hwy 24 going the wrong way but he was Qing the Hero.  In my state of disrepair last night I had a quirky thought, since I was Q’ing the Field of dreams, I would find some Dream quotes that touch on what we do here in F3.  More on that later.  So with 20 minutes before the Hard start, YHC saw no vehicles in the lot for a standard, oh boy will anyone show???????   Ok out of the car and up goes the Flag first then I noticed the jeep in the lot was that of Jaywow ( I got one there).  Next was the cone setup for the workout.  As noted by I believe Sparkles, Blart you picked a great day to have to tape your sheets to the cones (mind you that was after chasing them 3 times already).  Of course I forgot my watch so Monkey (respect) was timekeeper today.  As time rolled on YHC began with a diatribe about the 3 F’s that we have been following.  During this time Plebe shows up and YHC called 2 burpees for the tardiness but had Plebe watch.  On to the mission statement (yes flawless, finally) and line up for WARMARAMA.  By the way the no running was a ruse.  The pax Black snake indian ran all the way to the road, pick up the six.  Spread out again, arms out to get proper distance and back at it to the back parking lot by the flags for stretching.

  • Left over right 10 count, Right over left 10 count
  • Sun gods forward and reverse 10 count each
  • Bent over middle reach the ground, walk it left, back to middle, walk it right, each for a 10 count.

Noting the pax were now stretched but getting cold we hoofed it to the soccer field to Cone #1.

  • Hand release Merkins 25 SC
  • Burpees 20 SC
  • Diamond Merkins 15 SC
  • Air Presses  10 IC
  • Floyd Mayweather Plank punches 10 IC                 All were done utilizing the pax to count

After each round of 100 exercises YHC would give a Dream quote –  “Yes: I am a dreamer.  For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” – Oscar Wilde      I believe he hit the nail on the head for what we do here with F3.  Up early to get things done before the rest of the world even wakes.

Cone # 2

  • Jump squats 25 SC
  • Box Jumps (modified to square jumps) 20 SC
  • Grid sprints 15 SC  at this point YHC thought an ambulance would be needed for himself
  • Imperial Walkers 10 IC
  • Crunchy Frogs 10 IC       yes still utilizing the pax to count ( I believe this is where someone said feels like Q school)  That was a good feeling knowing I was able to make an impact on the pax as well as a school.

“Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself.  Go forward and make your dreams come true.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson   This made the pax think a bit about each of their dreams and what they are looking for in life.

Cone # 3

  • Alternating shoulder taps 25 SC
  • Peter Parkers 20 SC
  • Carolina Dry docks 15 SC
  • Plank jacks 10 IC
  • Chilly Jacks 10 IC

Still keeping to the 100 exercises per round and utilizing the pax for counting (thank you men, you made it easy on me).     “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” – Paulo Coelho     YHC has heard this quote spoken in many ways, but this one was short and to the perfect point.  Men get out there and achieve greatness.

Cone # 4

  • Alternating side squats 25 SC
  • Side to side line jumps 20 SC
  • Baryshnikov squats 15 SC     Much mumblechatter on (sorry cant remember who) perfect form for balance
  • Alternating lunges 10 IC
  • Monkey Humpers 10 IC    finally got to Lil Smokey for some cadence, sorry it took so long

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.  So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore. Dream. Discover.” – H. Jackson Brown Jr.         This one so reminded me of what Duckbutter preaches all the time, don’t take the safe way, take a chance, put yourself out of the safe harbor and see what you can do, not what you have done already.  We as a group F3, are put to this challenge day in and day out.  Expand your safe zone, and include those who need you to reach out to them and give them the safe harbor they need, until they are ready to explore, dream, and discover as we all have.

Back to the flags for YHC new favorite jack webb series – Captain Therkin

1 x 4 + 5     WWI situp, American Hammers, Merkins   up to a 5 x 20 + 5 count        Get this Griswold even moaned a little bit.  Don’t ask me how but he did.  How do you break a beast like that.  Love this Captain Therkin

Alrighty then, plenty of time left for a regular indian run back to the road.  By this time YHC was ready to hack up a lung so an Omaha for a little F2 (walk to the flags in the back parking lot)  Can’t breathe but that doesn’t mean we were done.  A few of the packs decided to help out the soccer players and fix the net.  F3 giving it for the community, way to go men.

Time for Guantanamo and Hands of Time.      Pax in a circle legs at 45, each pax gets up and throws down the rest of the pax legs.  Repeat for each pax.     Then turn around feet inside the circle and each pax legs at a 45, one by one the pax brings their legs down to 6 inches then back up while giving a count.  At this point the pax were killing YHC with the slow count (we went up to a count of 90 so 10 times around the circle).  By Monkeys watch around 6 minutes for Mary.

Relying on the pax (thank you again men) we did LBC’s, SSH’s, Cherry pickers, YHC was sensing a theme here, Birdman crunches, WWI’s and Monkey took us out in a full minute 6 inch hold, the pax thought we were doing protractors but nope.

Announcements – Snooki on the Q at the Gordy Lee for his 7 in 7 Q’s.  Help a brother out.  Griswold reminded us that this F3 thing is all about helping each other and supporting each and everyone of us.  If you know someone in the group that needs help or you yourself need help extend a hand and ask, just a simple bit of encouragement can make a world of difference.  Prayer concerns –  Griswold (father in law and step father)  Birdman’s father, Robbie Lewis, brother of YHC friend.  YHC took us out in prayer.

MOLESKIN

As always men it is the best leading such a great group of hard workers.  I believe that each and every one of us have our own dreams, but there is a common theme, step out of your comfort zone and live the life you should.  Push yourself to your limits each and every day in the light of the Lord.  We may sin, but we are human, with his help we walk the path that we were meant to walk, extending the hand that helps and giving others a chance to shine.
