19 men gathered to Sweet Beans on a beautiful Carterican morning. Temps were in the low 40s for perfect running conditions. The 5 mile route would be across the bridge to Island Grill and back. Road construction on the AB bridge allowed for clear lanes to run on. We are always concerned about safety first according to Au Jus.
Some moseyed 5 miles and others less. A strong effort put forth by all. Also a shout out to the few that gathered for a short Standard beforehand.
Many were disappointed that Steve Chalk did not make it after an invite from Madoff yesterday. Maybe Aflac will bring him Monday. The Palmetto Relay kicks off in 2 months so its time to push hard.
Field of Dreams, Hero Patriot and Tideland 24 Race are all tomorrow.
Spinal Tap took us out as only he can. Special prayers for Casey Hathaway, a 3 years old boy from Craven County that was missing for over 50 hours. He was found in the woods by law enforcement last night.
