Maytag put out a request for someone to take his place on the Q for the Field of Dreams several weeks ago.  I figured, what the heck, I haven’t ventured west of The Knarr in a while and it will be nice to see what those westerners have been up to these many months.  Wow, YHC was surprised.  I only knew 2-3 of the 14 Pax.  These guys are doing a great job of expanding F3 into western Carterico.  T Claps men.

YHC rolled into Western Park a few minutes early to verify the layout against my memory and Google Maps.  Not much has changed so the original workout plan should be ok.  The pax rolled in until the count hit 12 (13 with the Q) at the 0700 hard start and we were off for:

ROLLING WARMARAMA

Since @griswold sat in his car until after the hard start and emerged wearing full UNC gear we started with 5 BURPEES OYO.

At each corner of the soccer field we did:

  • SSH X 15 IC
  • RIGHT OVER LEFT / LEFT OVER RIGHT STRETCH X 15 SEC
  • COTTON PICKER X 15 IC
  • SUN GODS X 15 IC FORWARD/REVERSE
  • HILLBILLIES X 15 IC
  • WINDMILLS X 15 IC

A couple of stragglers joined us mid-warmarama so I added 11 BURPEES OYO.

THE THANG

We moseyed over to the smaller field where we did ATMs at each corner

  • A – ALTERNATING SHOULDER TAPS X 15 IC

Then, after a short mosey to the basketball court, we partnered up for a round of BOMBS

  • S – SQUATS X 250

Mosey to the picnic shelter for 2 rounds of

Indian Run around the Community Center and back to the baseball field backstop for

After @Purplerain put the EH on the Pax for HCs to the COOP Strong, TD Jakes asked for motivation to continue to make it to F3 workouts.  @Purplerain took us out with a strong, heartfelt prayer.

It was great to see some old friends that I don’t get to see much and meet some new guys.  The guys out here are certainly living up to the mission statement by “planting, growing, and serving”.  It was an honor and privilege to lead this morning.  Thanks again for the coffee @griswold.
