YHC arrived to find RuPaul already at the BIP ready for action. With the cold temps no one bothered get out of their truck until right at gametime. In rolled Laettner. 2 minute warning (hope those fartsacks were warm boys, I say boys cause the men showed up).

Quick mission statement forgot the disclaimer and we were off to the beach first.

The Thang

Ruck 1 mi. curls x 50, OHP x 50

Ruck to the end of public access on Craig St., Curls x 50, OHP x 50

Ruck to Emerald Isle Realty, Curls x 50, OHP x 50

Got back to Bogue Inlet Drive with time to spare and having not hit our 3 mi. goal. we continued to ruck past the visitors center. As we passed The Trading Post, RuPaul caught a whiff of some bacon frying and looked just like a plott hound on a bear track. We turned around and made our way back to Bogue Inlet drive for Curls x 50, OHP x 50

Cont’d to the Flip Flop Donut Shop where we skipped Mary and Name-O-Rama and went right into prayer requests. Prayers for the Stevenson Family and the folks in West Virginia that Laettner visited this past weekend, both dealing with similar tragedies. YHC and Laettner got donuts and RuPaul skipped off for his 4 mile run with Couchpotato who has yet to show up for a Ruck. Enjoyed it men.

Moleskin

Small groups are sometimes better than the big ones. The three of us had some great conversation this morning on some pretty heavy topics ranging from the role of caregivers, youth crime, the pressure/money of youth sports, disciplining children, suicide, financial obligations and the ability of every man to change his station in life if he really wants to….pretty heavy stuff anytime but especially when sober, before the sunrises. If you haven’t Q’d or partaken in a Ruck yet, I encourage you to. SYITG
