- When: 04-19-2018
- Workout Style: Boot Camp
- QIC: Misty
- PAX: Twitty, Winnie the Poo, Wifi, Graco, Flip-ova, Gertrude, Madoff, Poca, Bunion
- AO: Back Blasts, Man-O-War
As has been the case for the better part of four months now, the westward winds have not stopped causing havoc…luckily today the wind did have a slight southerly component! The opportunity to Q at the Man-o-War was something I looked forward to for a long time (that is since I realized Flip added me to the calendar on Tuesday). In all honesty I was excited for the challenge and opportunity to think up something a little different for the AO.
Rolling up early to survey the area and to determine what was possible I was nearly flattened by Winnie the Poo who apparently thought I was one of those aggressive Dingbatter bike riders from off who needed a lesson taught to them, thankfully I realized the misidentification quickly and moved to the safety of the far lane. The PAX began to gather rather early, especially for Beaufort standards, 5:29 the warning was delivered, 5:30 we began…realizing that our Beaufort Rocket Man, Flip-Ova wasn’t present…thankfully he rolled up as we rolled out…three burpees for Flip!
Warmarama:
10 ct – Cotton Picker
10 ct – Windmill
10 ct – SSH
10 ct – Runners Lung (both legs)
Quick mosey to the corner of Front and Craven street to begin a little grid work as follows.
Run to the four corners of the block, at each corner stop for the following four exercises:

10 – Diamond Merkins
15 – Dry Docks
20 – Crunchy Frogs
Four sets of four exercises completed, then a quick palate cleaner to the corner of Front and Pollock Street, Bear Crawl back to the BB&T sign on Front and finish out the return to Front and Queen Street with a sprint.
We worked another grid pattern back to the Front and Craven Block as follows.

10- Spider Merkins
15 – Doublewide Merkins

Four sets of four exercises, arms in a painful noodle like state we moved to the west on a slow mosey to the corner of Front and Turner street…finding the area was congested with senior citizen traffic at 5:55 am looking for an open coffee shop in downtown Beaufort we determined it best that we move our group to a safer location for the next set of four exercises…as follows:
5 – Burpees
10- Star Jumps
15 – Peter Parkers
20 – Freddie Mercury’s IC
Four sets of four completed again and time for an Indian Run to the turn around on the western end of Front Street and back to our original starting point for Mary as follows:
25 – American Hammer
20 – LSF
20 – Dying Cockroach
Announcements: Steamer (surprise surprise) on the Q for the Stampede on Friday…MORE TO COME SOON ON THAT! Madoff at that QAR on Tuesday, I hear.
YHC took the PAX out in Prayer.
It was an honor and a pleasure to lead the group this morning, thanks to all who overcame the fartsack and attended.
