The Three Amigos

In the gloom YHC arrived at the AO of Floyds restaurant for a standard that was called. With no other pax appearing it was time for the moment of truth and thus off on a path towards Shevans Park. Jogging by yourself gives you a chance to clear your mind and focus on the next 43 feet in front of you. Upon reaching the park it was time to turn around and head back to the flag to read 2 miles on my wrist computer. I arrived back at the flag with time to stretch before the arrival of first Bunyon followed by Ramses. With the clock tricking 5:30, the usual administrative functions were administered to the veteran pax (mission and disclaimer). Ramses asked me how far I was going today, I responded that I wanted to go over the bridge and return to achieve 5 miles on this morning. There was a nod of agreement from the two others and we were off heading down the waterfront towards Shevans and the bridge. Our discussions began with the recent Seafood Festival and the success as well as the opportunities to make parts of it better. We reached the bridge and began our trek up and over. As we reached the peak of the bridge we spotted the ruckers doing their thing being led by Frosted Flake. To the base of the bridge and we turned around and started our journey back, catching up with the ruckers and then going on our way back towards downtown as the ruckers headed the opposite way towards the visitors center. On the way back our conversations were about Bunyons recent trip to Las Vegas which led to childhood memories of  trips to the Grand Canyon and other family adventures before the introduction of cell phones into our society. We all agreed that the best adventures in life happen during the road trips to the destination. The sights that are seen the adventures with mechanical failures in a one stop light town.

We arrived back at the flag having completed 5 miles each.

COT- YHC took us out in BOM.

It was pointed out to YHC that I misreported Ramses mileage in a prior BB, I reported completion of 4 miles, when if fact he accomplished 5 miles. YHC agreed that mileage should be posted with a variance factor of one mile.
