The adventures of Madoff at the Stampede

Early in the gloom YHC pulled into the parking lot to discover Madoff and Wifi doing their warm up exercises while Suitcase was getting out of his car. Minutes later Bunyon appeared out of the dark shadows like a ninja looking for nachos with extra cheese. Greetings were exchanged and eventually the mission and disclaimer were conveyed and the route was discussed with Wifi to make sure he knew where the pax was going. Ready or not here we go… We started off heading West down Front Street following the cul de sac and turning around and heading East toward the boat house. The pax thinned out after the first mile. YHC found himself in an unusual position of being up front with Bunyon as Madoff was talking with Suitcase and Wifi. At about the two mile mark Bunyon could hear heavy footsteps and hufing and puffing coming up behind us. Madoff had joined us only to declare that he was going to turn around at the fish house. Bunyon and I continued to the boat house discussing the 800 or so new residences being built in Beaufort and all the retired people from elsewhere that will most likely be moving to the new housing. After asking Bunyon shared his medical training history including his residency in Iowa and how he ended up there. Eventually we caught up with Wifi making his way back to the flag. We all circled back for the 6, and stopped at the flag.

We went up to the dock overlooking the water to get some stretching in as a yacht that cost more than the GDP of several Caribbean countries combined was showing signs of life and activity. Bunyon led the pax in stretching. It became apparent to YHC during stretching that Madoff had hit himself in the head with a kettle bell earlier this week. This must have caused a concusion because Madoff was proud to announce that  he recently had a pedicure and was walking on cloud 9. The only question I could manage to ask was what color did they paint your toe nails? Madoff claims it was a clear coat but he also refused to show leading me to believe that it might be bright red under those shoes and socks. There was mention of a possible Brazilian wax , maybe this happened in Vegas and explains why the Dipper has not posted recently. What happens in Vegas stays, right?
