YHC was excited to Q The Rolling Stone this morning.   I haven’t Q’d a boot camp workout in probably 3 months so I was anxious to get started this morning.  I worked on my plan yesterday with the goal of challenging everyone while keeping the 6 always involved.  Skimmer rolled in right behind me and there was already an F3 flag flying in the wind.  I went to the track to set up my speaker and I could see purplerain rolling down the track in the misty gloom.  We strolled back to the flags where the PAX was ready to go.

11 men circled while I gave my best rendition of a Tony Romo mission statement and introduction.

WARMARAMA

We moseyed around the parking lot to get loose and through the mist a familiar truck comes steam rolling in on two wheels.   It was Buttoncap.  He looked like he just woke up from a nearly all-nighter at The Top of the Hill.  I asked him how many burpees he wanted the PAX to do for him being late, being the overachiever that he is…he said “5”.  Full metal jacket style, Buttoncap was excused from the burpees but he joined the PAX anyway….overachiever.  I am glad he beat the fart sack and joined us.

We circled up for a little warm-up.

SSH-20-IC  I wondered why no one was counting….I forgot to start the cadence….it’s been a while folks.  Only Griswold called me out on it.  Laettner would have eat it up.

THE THANG

“Opposites Attract”

They PAX was asked to partner up with someone opposite of their running ability.  We were going to be running a lot and they needed a partner opposite their skill level to even things out.

Partner A would run in one direction on the track and Partner B would run in the opposite direction.  When they met on the track they would perform a partnered exercise and then run back in the direction they came.  The goal was to work both partners to their individual potential….a faster runner would have to run further.  Everyone partnered up and the guy that should have been picked first was standing by himself with a small tear running down his face…Griswold.  I was “stuck” with Griswold.  Poor fella looked like he got left out of a pick-up game.

After completing the circle and waiting on the 6 the PAX would do LBC’s.

Mumble chatter was at a minimum after the first couple laps.  Snooki found enough energy to complain to the group about his partner…purplerain.

Round 2

Opposites Attract-    10 Collective Burpees

Opposites Attract-    Partner Derkins-       10 Each

Time was nearly up and we jogged to the flags.  Barnacle had plenty left in the tank as he held a solid pace leading everyone to the flags.  After closely reviewing the COT footage it looks like he was the only one not sweating…sandbagger.  Lunchbox circled back and picked up the 6.  Strong work lunchbox and way to lead by example.

Announcements-Check Slack for upcoming events, I can’t remember all of them.

Prayer Requests-Birdman’s family, Plebe’s family, Students in Florida

Kiwi stepped up and took us out in great prayer.  Strong work on the track too, Kiwi.

It was good to see everyone this morning.  Happy to see some fresh faces starting to come regularly….Skimmer & Barnacle.  Glad Pillbox is feeling better and got a chance to get back at it.  If you give me what you had I will need some of your “pills.”  He was the only “respect” brother out there today…..cough….Couch Potato?  Floater was getting back to his old form and was putting the hammer down on the track.  We had a special guest on site today…Matlock…haven’t seen him a while.  Glad he could come and sweat it out with us today.  I enjoyed Q’ing this morning and getting to work out with you guys.  Thanks for letting me lead today Griswold.
