13 men joined YHC on a calm and warm Caterico morning for the Hero Patriot. With only Poca delivering a HC (He would never skip a workout on his 43 Birthday which he shares with Thomas Jefferson) and with YHC celebrating his 59th this past Wednesday, YHC was optimistic that we would have good number of Pax posting the HP. The pre-blast asked for the Pax to bring hand weights if they had one so YHC kinda figured at least a few guys would show up just to see what the weight thing was all about. The mumble chatter escalated as more PAX arrived and the blocks that YHC had borrowed from Boss Tweed’s Marina were suddenly a topic of serious discussion. Jang arrives, walks to YHC’s truck and demands the keys. He was most eager to drive the truck in a nearby ditch, taking Boss Tweed’s blocks with it. Alas, the keys were well hidden and the blocks and the truck held their own.

After delivering a perfect Mission Statement, which maybe half the PAX heard (the other 7 or so were delivering harsh words to YHC regarding the bricks and would not have heard a word that was being said, even if they were being declared million dollar lottery winners) YHC began warm a rama with left over right followed by right over left. We moseyed to the third light pole in the parking lot, stretched a little more, ran to the buses where we did a count off and partnered up, ran to another light pole where Blart and Monkey blew away the field while Jang continued to bitch about the bricks.

Suitcase has some sort of clairvoyance powers as he called the next exercise on the spot, before we even got to the bleachers. We moseyed on past the trucks to the bleachers where each PAX found their partner for one round of partner wheelbarrows up the steps.

We moseyed back to the parking lot where everyone would grab a block or their hand weights. Off to the soccer field and YHC had the PAX line up shoulder to shoulder. The workout went like this: 10 exercises for time, not reps for one minute each. The exercises were: Heel Clicks, Bottom half Squats, Curls, Burpees, Lunge Jumps, Merkins, Bent Over Rows, Overhead Press, SSH, Front Raises (I think). We went from one exercise to the other with no rest in between. After the 10 were completed we F3 walked to the track for a little running. We were to run, as fast as possible for one lap around the track. Poca took off like a stuck duck and never looked back. The big man can run!

Next, we moseyed to the pull up bars. Partner A did 10 pull ups and 10 dips while his partner ran a lap around the building. Partner B did his 10 of each then ran while Partner A did 8 reps of each exercise, etc. until all were done.

With time running short, we gathered at the bench for quick round of 10 dips I/C.

Big Mic lead the PAX back to the weights were we did 30 seconds of each exercise and finished things off with a one minute plank hold.

We stayed where we were for some Mary with Monkey Wrench leading us in what were supposed to be 43 Russian Twists until YHC cut him off at 30 (Sorry Poca, I had no idea of his intent….I just know I was tired)! Everyone gathered their coupons and we moseyed back to the parking lot for the COT and Ram took us out with a wonderful prayer.

Thanks for coming out guys. It’s always a pleasure to Q any F3 workout. Those extra 15 minutes on Saturdays really make a difference.
