Late October is always a glorious time in Carterico, just ask Lassie! The time of year is made even more glorious with the commemoration of the second full year of the Dreadnought, a workout conceived to be a bit different from all the others and was, at the time, thought to be impractical for our band of scallywags…Ultimately the Dreadnought has helped to shape the course of many things in Carterico and I an honored to have the opportunity to Q the second anniversary post.

Rolling up at the designated 0505 timeslot I wasn’t expecting much in terms of company, however I was pleasantly surprised when I spotted a set of headlights coming up the parking lot toward my area, who could it be???  I knew it was way too early for the likes of Deebo or Pasqually (who both had other plans on this Tuesday morning), likewise it was too cool of a morning to see a Duck Butter, and far to ambitious for the likes of Jang-a-Lang…It was our PAX member in exile Deuce who made the trip special just to be part of the workout to come.  Happy to have a partner to run with we set off on a rather quick 2 mile mosey up the bike path and back, sure to see a spectacle of people awaiting us when we returned to mark the anniversary!  When we arrived back we found Crabby warming up and some teenager in a pea green Honda apparently smoking cigs?  Oh, wait, sorry that was Gertrude.  Slowly the PAX formed up with a sturdy group of Dreadnought veterans who couldn’t be frightened off by Deebo’s propaganda about my impending Q which was viciously spread the evening before!
