8 men joined YHC in the gloom for a little Anchor B. beatdown. A nice rain fell over Carterico last night making for some damp soccer fields, meaning we stayed on the parking lot for most of the workout. This brought forth a small amount of grumbling from those that didn’t bring their gloves.

YHC was aware of a couple of PAX that were batting some types of infirmities so a nice and easy tempo workout was planned. As we moseyed down the parking lot away from the stadium, YHC called for the PAX to circle up. Then out of the blue charges Gert and his followers and they joined our Warm a Ramaa as YHC called for left over right and right over left. Then in the blink of an eye they were gone. After warmups, we moseyed to the fence for Balls to the Wall, 10 count by each of the PAX.

The Thang:

We slow moseyed away from the wall back to the parking lot and YHC called out 10 exercises that we would be doing. In no particular order, we would do 10 reps of each of the following: Merkins, Squats, LSF, Overhead air press, Bear crawl, SSH, Wide arm Merkins, Heel Clicks, Bottom half squats and…..one more but for the life of me I can’t remember it and I threw my Weinkie away at Sweet Beans. Oh well.

The goal is to do 10 reps of each exercise and do that 10 times, thus completing 1,000 reps. YHC led the first round, then a PAX would come forward and call out a set. After the 3rd and 6th sets, we ran through the parking lot and quickly lined right back up in an attempt to finish all the sets. We made it to Dizzy, the last man standing and with the hard stop time rapidly gaining on us, he led us through 4 or so sets before time was called. No time for Mary so we went straight into announcements…Duck Butter looking for volunteers to help with the road race Seafood Festival Saturday morning. Prayer requests….Ma Bell’s 93 year old grandmother broke her hip. John Jenkins….I’m sure there were others that I have left out but the Lord knows them and their needs. Ronnie B took us out in prayer.

As always, it was a pleasure to lead. Next time we get to !,000!
