50 HIMs came out for Murph + today on a Balmy to partly rainy morning to pay tribute to those that gave their life to defend our freedom. Specifically we highlighted Lieutenant Michael Murphy for giving his life for his brothers in heroic fashion during operation Enduring Freedom
I am reminded of the one who was perfect and gave His life for us. John 15 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17This is my command: Love each other.
And so we are grateful to remember that we are given a great mercy and not only that but grace and now we are called friends of God. We have been given a command to love one another and I saw that today with men encouraging each other, leading and sharpening iron
