After “winning” Purple Rain’s merkin challenge at the Hashmark way back when, YHC’s “prize” that day was a Q at the Boonedocks in the future.  Well today was the future. YHC picked up RonBurgundy and Pasqually for the journey west.  Fearing a soft workout, PurpleRain and Laetner were in the middle of a standard when we arrived to survey the AO.  As the PAX rolled in, the 2 minute and 1 minute were given and with 15 seconds to hard start the standard duo arrived.  Mission statement and disclaimer were given and as we moseyed off Pasqually reminded us what the 3 F’s are (my bad).  We circled up for warmarama consisting of:

SSHx 25 IC

Sungods x 10 IC front and back

Cotton pickers IC x 10

Imperial walker x 10 IC

Leg stretches x 10CT each leg

For the the thang: Mosey to first intersection for Hand release merkins x 10 IC, Plankjacks x 10 IC, and LBC x 10 IC.  Mosey to next two intersections and repeat same at each.  By now I hear Griswold say he has the plan figured out. So….. we shake it up with a bear crawl to the next intersection( 50 yards) and performed 5 burpees OYO.  From there we moseyed to the dock where we performed dips x 20 SC followed by Erkins x 10 SC, rinse and repeat.  From here we moseyed back to first corner for 5 burpees, bear crawl to next intersection for the same 3 exercises as before, repeating at each of the next 2 intersections on our way back to the church. This little mosey totaled about 1.8 miles with 8 stops that totaled 60 hand release merkins, 60 LBC, 60 plankjacks, and 10 burpees.

Back at the church we took to balls to the wall and in honor of Puddles we added burpees; so with 13 men we did 2 count per man, off the wall for a burpee, back up on the wall for a 3 count per man, off for a burpee, and back up for another 2 count per man.  Now to people’s chair for a 5 count per man, off for a burpee and back up for another 5 count per man.  Time for Mary.

Mary: American Hammer x 30 IC with leg switch at 15, and Griswold led us in dying cockroach x 30 IC then finally a variety of planks with various arms and legs held high.

Hard stop!

Announcements: Hole in None, Kettle bells, and a western ruck tomorrow. Christmas party Dec. 16. At this point there was a shuffle among the group and lo and behold…. a splash Merlot by one of the young PAX, Boom!

YHC took us out in prayer.

It was a pleasure to be with this group of mostly westerners today and I look forward to the next time.
