After a long, extended break due to the Florence led workout I was a part off and then, well, just not feeling like doing anything and it being cold and wet for months and months and excuses, excuses….it feel great to get back to it and privileged to lead a fine group of men this morning.  The goal was to do some good stretching, keep to a slowish pace mosey, hit every major muscle group, and keep the heart rate up while keeping the group together.

Warm Up:  From the parking lot of Big Rock Stadium we took the trail around the baseball field stopping twice for Sun gods, cotten pickers, hillbilly, R over L, windmills, cobra, down dog, and side straddle hops.

The Thing:  Back at the parking lot the workout consisted of jogging to every other light post where an exercise would done.  Low reps (10), high quality.  The exercises were:

Squats, Merkins, Dips, Monkey Humpers, LBC, Lt. Dan, Diamond Merkins, American Hammer, Copperhead Squats, Alt. Shoulder Taps, Low Slow Flutter, Wide Merkins

Half-Time Mosey to the picnic shelter for : Step Ups (15), Dips (10), Urkins (10) -Repeat

Mosey back to the parking lot for a repeat of about half of the original exercise. With time running out we spent the last five minutes getting our heart rate up with plank jacks, high-steps, mtn climbers, butt kicks.

Finished with some stretching, praises, prayer requests, and a few moments on our knees before the King of Kings in prayer.  In all I’m told we put in 2 miles.  Enjoyed it fellas!
