Long Overdue

Long Overdue refers to the delay in posting this backblast as well as the fact that this was my first Ruck.  The Pax gathered at the gated entrance to Croatan Forest on VFW Rd in Cedar Point.  My plan was to go for distance and to try and push the pace.  After a solid mission statement and some form of a disclaimer we were off.  Within 30 seconds Buttoncap came rolling in and we were happy to have him.  We rucked to the trails and completed the long lap and short lap.  Short on time we headed towards the trucks and hit the gate just in time for a HS.  One burpee with Ruck sacks on for Buttoncap’s barely late arrival.  Personally I had a great time and hope others enjoyed the Ruck as much.  Namarama (sorry for leaving you out Willow), announcement and prayers (Redskin stationed in S. Korea).  QIC asked that Laettner take us out and his words were powerful and heartfelt as usually.  Special thanks to Buttoncap for allowing me to Q and the the rest of the PAX for their brotherhood.  Until we meet again (in a few minutes at FOD).
