“The two words can be similar but DEVOTION is a sort of profound DEDICATION and it refers to emotions [such as love] and worship, while DEDICATION is usually referred to a task or purpose.” ~Google
YHC didn’t think twice about why pax would choose the fartsack over a run today, the weather report was less than optimistic at 100% chance of rain. I arrived early and was curious as to why any pax would show up at all knowing there was no chance of the drizzle stopping. But they came, and it really was just that, a refreshing drizzle. The temp was perfect for a run, so a 5:30am HS and Mission Statement on the fly, down the Coast Guard path/Rd trying to avoid puddles, pine cones and possums… PAX returned in unison at 6:15am for discussion on “was that really @purplerain ‘s truck on the road?”.
TClaps to Tony Romo on his first “out n back” and Cooter looking like a pro with a strong finish. Thanks to our AO Site Q Maytag for keeping the momentum strong on the Green Mile, great way to start the week. TClaps to Griswold, his ability to push physically with a side of the 2nd F makes each workout meaningful. Running is not an individual sport with this crowd, makes my day every time.
I always enjoy the closing prayer by Griswold and today was a special request for the family of our brother and a great leader RonBurgandy. Today he celebrates his one year F3 anniversary but had a family emergency. Prayers are with you RB, and thank you for leading by example with your DEVOTION to the PAX.
