YHC looked at the forecast the night before showing 40 temp and 15/25 blowing with heavy rain. YHC wasn’t expecting much of a showing this morning. To my surprise 7 hardcore ruckers showed up to embrace the suck and the weather to start the day off right. We circled up in the middle of the rain for the 4 minute and 2 minute warning. With 7 ruckers and YHC ready to ruck the disclaimer was given and it was time to get moving . 515 sharp we headed east towards the bridge past the construction of the visitors center and back to our normal route . The pax was about a block or 2 away from the visitors center when from behind the 6 I heard Frosted time for a 10 count. The fartsack tried to hold him down but Mr. Nipple Shot himself beat the fartsack and came in hot sprinting down to catch the pax. Strong work Nipple! The next block YHC called shoulder to shoulder and LT Dan across the intersection for some to catch up and catch their breath. Some of the mumble chatter was heard ” no warmarama” YHC was trying to get the blood moving first. WE continued on down 3 more blocks next stop was :
Warmarama
Sun Gods IC F x 10, R x 10
Wind Mills IC x 10
Cooper Head Squat IC x 10
Ready to get moving again we headed east towards the bridge. About the time we made it to the next street light the rains picked up and so did the wind decreasing the visibility for the pax along with the drivers going over the bridge. With that the YHC called Omaha and we crossed over the bridge and continued east towards down town. We made it turned around at 1.79 miles from the CCC Atm. With the half way point on my watch reached it was time to start heading back. On the way back down the road we caught a view of Crabby and Bay liner (way to go boys) keep pushing. We made it back to the CCC with 5 minutes to spare. 2 minutes of lunges and 15 merkins to finish up the hard stop.
There were 5 stops in total.
50 Copper Head Squats
75 Merkins
50 lunges each leg
3.45 miles by Garmin
Average Speed 3.1 mph
Gentlemen I was amazingly surprised by the turn out this morning. It shows how many strong members we have in the community . It was an honor to lead you this morning. Outstanding way to start out the weekend. Immigrant took us out and blessed us with an inspiring prayer.
On to the next gloom: Frosted.
