50 was the number of the day. Having just had a fun night with some of my fellow F3 men and some of my friends for a birthday party, YHC rolled into The Knarr seeing a motivated Monkey Wrench finishing up a standard. Knowing your not the only one to show usually picks a Q up right away. As I planted the shovel flag (respect) I was feeling a little different about today then the other times I have Q’d. YHC felt like he needed to bring it strong today to earn the respect tag that would be placed on him at the namarama. 5 minute warning, 3 minute warning, 2 minute warning, 1 minute warning. On to the F3 mission which YHC had to restart because of the pressure felt with Pasqually (OG) in his presence. Second time around nailed it, disclaimer and away YHC took the pax to show them the route they would be running while their partner would be exercising.

The Thang
Ron B’s favorite – Railroad tracks the full length of the parking lot. Each pax in a plank position spread out in a straight line. The last pax would jump over each pax and plank after jumping all. Repeat for each pax until we made it to the far end of the parking lot. Partner up during a short mosey to the center of the parking lot.
Partner #1 runs large loop while Partner #2 exercises. Switch it up so both Pax does full amount of exercises. If pax finishes his count then plank for partner to return from his run.
- 50 Merkins – SC
- 50 Box Cutters – IC
- 50 LBC’s – IC
- 50 Box Jumps – 4 corners so it’s a 4 count exercise
Those Box Jumps took some wind out of the pax, so on to another round of Railroad tracks the length of the parking lot.
Next up was the Hands of Time – Pax on their 6 in a circle. Legs at 6 inches, moving in a circle each pax raises legs to 45 and then back down to 6 inches in a wave pattern counting 1 per pax up to 50. 1,2,3,4,5,…50 The pax really liked that one so YHC decided let’s do another round. Ron B really enjoyed these and counted ever so slow to the pax pleasure.
Guantanamo would be had to finish off the legs. Pax on their 6, heads to the inside of the circle, legs at 45. Each pax jumps up and runs around the circle pushing down the feet of each pax. Twice around the circle to make it harder. By the end Pasqually decided we needed to hold those legs up and not let him push them down. The grunting was coming on pretty strong at this point. Finishing up the legs YHC decided it was time to finish off the arms and chest started earlier.
Using the song “Let the bodies hit the floor”, each pax would start out in a plank. When Let the bodies hit the floor was sung the pax would do a hand release Merkin and when the numbers 1,2,3,4 for sang the pax would perform a regular Merkin. By the end 26 and 21 respectively were done during the 3 minute 22 second song.

Each pax chose an ab exercise to end out the workout.
- Ricardo – LBC
- Monkey Wrench – Box Cutters
- Griswald – Leg Circles both clockwise and counter clockwise
- Holiday Mansion – Boats and Canoes
- Pasqually – Dying Cockroaches
Namarama – YHC actually had to stop from saying 49 and paused to collect my thoughts to say 50 today. I have been so used to saying 49 it was honestly odd to say 50.
Monkey Wrench took us out with a great prayer lifting us all up to be the men we need to be in this world.

A big Thank You goes out to all the birthday wishes and those who were free from other duties and joined myself and friends for a small party at Promise land last night. Coming up on a full year working out with a great group of men has been a highlight of my time here in Carteret county. I would still be that sad clown wishing I could make friends and loose weight if it wasn’t for a very pushy Second mile during a liquor fueled evening, and for that I Thank You sir. Another milestone of having joined the Respect club, I feel like I need to step up my workouts to keep up with Pedro and Puddles (Well done men) All of these guys definitely have my utmost Respect being able to hang with some of these younger guys. It really doesn’t get easier the older you get, it is the determination to finish that pushes you through. Enough of my blubbering. It was a pleasure to lead another fine group of uplifting men.
Blart out.
