- When: 07/02/18
- Workout Style: BOOT CAMP
- QIC: RON BURGUNDY
- PAX: Squid, Buckeye, Profit (Greensboro), Ricardo, Blart (Respect), Monkey Wrench (Respect)
- AO: Back Blasts
YHC thought he would arrive early and do some scouting for the workout. I couldn’t beat Blart who was turning the lights on for us at the tennis courts. The rest of the PAX rolled in and the 5 minute countdown began. We were happy to see Squid join the ranks. YHC thought for a long time that he wore a collar that shocked him if he left the confines of Brandywine. We also welcomed Profit from Greensboro who couldn’t find a closer workout and he is vacationing in Emerald Isle. PAX discussed website for a bit but had no answers. The three minute warning sounded and so did Buckeye. He wasn’t sure if he was going to keep everything in or not. YHC wasn’t sure what you call it if it happens. I guess Buckeye would call it quits. The one minute was given and six strong joined YHC for what F3 stands for a flawless mission statement and disclaimer.
Warm-A-Rama
Mosey to the first intersection for SSHx20, Sun Godsx10 (both ways) and Abe Vigodasx10.
Mosey to the next intersection for Cotton Pickersx15. Blart explained to us that we have to change the name of these to make sure we are PC. YHC came up with “Put Your Face in Your Butt” and we did 15, Imperial Walkerx15 and YHC did them correctly this time and the classic left over right stretch followed by right over left for a 10 count.
THE THANG
Mosey to the lighted tennis courts. We would be doing a Windy Forest to the Sea. YHC put a new twist on one of his favorites. We would bear crawl across one of the tennis courts, do 5 burpees, crab walk the other court and then run around the outside of the tennis courts to the start. I know the PAX is working hard when Blart is quick to give me, “You suck Ron Burgundy”. During one of the rounds Buckeye left a vapor trail that YHC and Monkey had to detour. We might have gone an extra mile but it was worth it to stay out of the dangerous vapor trail. We worked our way down 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1. Buckeye was still holding everything together.
YHC introduced the PAX to the “Weave”. We started at one end of the picnic tables, ran between the posts and over the two sets of tables. We weaved in and out for as long as there were posts and tables. Back through for round two and again for three rounds.
Moseying to the next AO we did one more set of the Weave on the tables by the mini ampitheater and on to the soccer field for 11’s going across. PAX would be doing Alternating Shoulder Taps and WW1’s. YHC told the PAX to do 11 AST’s and then cross for one WW1. We are doing 12’s the PAX questioned? No we are starting with 11 and ending with 11. Everyone wants to Q when it is not there turn.
Still some time for table work, Earkins x 20, Pool Boy, Ron Burgundy’s latest but not greatest invention. This was inspired while on vacation. If you have ever watched National Geographic, we have seen the Elephant Seals and it so crowded you can’t find a spot. It looks the same around a pool on a cruise ship. Like the seal looking for a place to lay, the bigger, flabbier seals kept pushing me around the edge of the pool. I could only use my hands to push myself left and right. The Pool Boy was born. The exercise has you lift your butt off the bench and hold your legs out for 10 seconds, Derkins x 20 and rinse and repeat doing 10 of each.
Mary
American Hammers x20
Box Cutters x 20
Protractor doing various things led us to a Hard Stop.
Continued prayers for Blart, Tina and family, along with Gert’s dad. YHC took us out in prayer and reminded everyone it is the everyday things we can do to make someone’s life better.
I have enjoy being the Q. I find it fun and challenging. The real reason I like it is people have to listen to me. I know there are opportunities to Q other AO’s where I typically don’t attend but I am going to challenge myself to go and Q. It’s great to meet other PAX members but more important is you are making yourself a better leader. As a site Q you know how hard it is to get guys to do it. If you are going to ask then you should volunteer first. The more hands the easier the labor.
My pleasure men. You made me better and I hope you got better.
Ron Burgundy
