Pasqually gave the PAX an SC that he may or may not be the Q for the Knarr. I am sure most of us would read through the lines and expect a no show from the Q. YHC was trapped again in his garage and was looking for a ride and once again figured out that you can’t count on Pasqually. I am not fluent in Italian but I did learn the Pasqually means “one who is running late” or “one who has no moral obligation to his commitment” in the big book of Italian names. Monkey Wrench was my night in shining armor and had my chariot waiting at 0 dark 30 and we were off. YHC asked his chauffer to drive down the road no one uses so he could count the light poles, just in case Pasqually didn’t show up.  YHC got to three before he lost track and Monkey took over the count, 8 poles got it. A foreshadowing of things to come. Since Monkey turned 55 and join YHC in the age group is required that you show up for everything 15 minutes early, just so you can the seat you want. You also have to tip the other chairs you want toward the table for preservation. Check it out at the next church function, it is a tactic passed down from generation to generation. Now we wait for the PAX. The first to roll in was Blart in some kind of luxury car we didn’t recognize. A few of the regulars trickled in and then some unknowns. It looked like Lamaar coming all the way from the cigarette littered sands of Atlantic Beach and Griswold with Cheech in tow coming for his virgin Knarr. The PAX gathered and began to count down the time. Lamar complemented the town of Newport on their AO. We all had a glimmer of hope that Pasqually’s head lights would pierce the darkness and his tires would squeal as he took the turn to fast and would almost run over two PAX members. We circled up and contemplated a plan B. YHC told the PAX he had a basic plan and that seemed to be good enough. Apparently no one really wanted to put a whole lot of effort or thought into a Monday Q. 3, 2, 1, with the 3 F’s given and then a disclaimer, followed by a statement about there will not be a disclaimer. Let’s mosey. The PAX jumped on that mix up quick and it was going to be that kind of morning.

WARM-A-RAMA

Mosey up the road toward the main highway. Blart already chatty about the wonderful AO we have the Q not using it. Just want us to be close to the road so Pasqually doesn’t miss. SSHx20, Sun Godsx10 each way, Windmillsx10. Mosey to the other end of the road. Chatty Cathy aka Blart was on the Q again, something being at the Dreadnoght. Cotton Pickersx10, Imperial Walkersx10 and Good Morningsx10. Mosey to the intersection of the road no one uses.

THE THANG

We would stop at each stop sign. Once again the Q was quickly corrected and told those were street lights. Oh..OK. We would stop at each street light for a series of exercises. The first light was a long 8-10 steps, perfect for Blart. It will be the same distance he has to travel in the nursing home when he wants some jello. 5 merkins, 5 squats, 5 LBC’s IC, next light 10 of each, next light 15 of each. I believe this is when Monkey starting to do the math and remembered YHC has no memory about how many lights he counted. He reminded him there are 8 lights. YHC noted that fact. PAX would work up to the 5th pole for 25 each. YHC must admit that along the way he forgot what number he was on and at one point forgot to do LBC’s.  Blart, my own personal Jiminy Cricket reminded me of such things. Spoiler alert, YHC’s New year’s resolution is to Q a workout without Blart having to correct him. PAX worked down the last three poles with 20 and 15.

Coming back we would stop at every other pole with Hand Release Merkins, WW1’s and Low Slow Flutters, 5, 10, 15 and 20 for the last. Mosey thru the BBall court and to the back picnic tables. Prisoner Squats x 20, Ricardo was quick to point out that YHC enjoys things from the prison, 20 Earkins, Step Ups x20, Dips x 20, Box Jumps x 20. Mosey to the other shelter for one round of the Weave. As YHC rounded the last turn there was not enough table and it began to flip. Luckily people like Pasqually grew up in Newport and they have to chain down the table so one can steal them. To the ampitheatre for some People’s Chair x 10 each man, followed by a lap around the parking lot. Ricardo found his mumble chatter side as he was trying to get Blart to cheer up. I believe something about nobody shows up at my workout or something like that.

MARY

American Hammer x 25

YHC called for help from the PAX and a Christmas miracle ocurred. We heard something from Kiwi. It started out low and then it started to grow. He said Dyib Cock Roach and then led us for 15 IC

Box Cutters or following Buckeye’s noise maker, Turd Cutters x 15

YHC finished up Mary with the protractor. HARD STOP

COT

Prayers for Puddles friend in the motorcycle accident, Blart’s M, Holiday’s M and Ricardo going to Chicago to lear how to shake his stick, baton whatever. YHC called on Blart to take us out. Always enjoy a Blart prayer laced with sentiment and realism. I never heard God disagree with him when he called us fools…oh, tools yea tools. We are those also at times. He lifted us all up for the week to better leaders in the community and to always lift one another up.

It ma seem I picked on Blart today and maybe I did. I appreciate him keeping on track and doing things right. that is what you are supposed to do as the Q. It is part of growing as a leader. Blart helps me with that. You challenge yourself to get it right and put yourself out there for correction. I loved the mumble chatter. I am not sure of what all was said but it seemed spirited and lively. It could be the Christmas season or guys coming together and feeling more comfortable. A note to all. It might be a good idea to keep a Q in your back pocket just in case. 9 strong today was a great showing, 10 would have been nice if the Q didn’t fartsack.
