• When: 05/29/18
  • Workout Style: BOOT CAMP
  • QIC: RON BURGUNDY
  • PAX: Bed Sore, Meme, Monkey Wrench (Respect), Birdman, Suitcase (Respect), Buckeye, Rooney , Revlon
  • AO: Back Blasts

YHC rolled up to find Buckeye early and ready to go. He says he as anxiety about being late. He is already a candidate for the Respect club. He will be the go to guy for the early bird special. YHC was really surprised to see a shadowy figure running hard toward the AO. It must be someone putting in a hard standard in for the BRR. Nope, just Holiday Mansion running to check the doors on the bathrooms. He was in luck as he found an open invitation and the bright lights were like a welcome sign on a lonely highway. The rest of the regular PAX began to roll in when we spotted a white minivan. Who could this stranger be? Meme, Bed Sore and an FNG. Once Rooney arrived it was time to get started. What F3 stands for stated, flawless mission statement, 5 core principles and disclaimer. YHC’s gift of gab was on full display for the FNG. Let’s Mosey to the tree of life.

WARM-A-RAMA

YHC coordinated with Holiday to do a combined Warm-a-Rama with Anchor B’s. It’s always good to some different and some familiar faces at the workouts. It went down like this RB led SSHx20, HM Cotton Pickers x 10, RB Sun Gods x 10 each way, HM Imperial Walkers x 15 increasing speed as we went, RB Abe Vigodas x 10 and HM with left over right, right over left stretch. See ya B’s and we moseyed to the parking lot by the basketball courts.

THE THANG

Starting at the beginning of the parking lot PAX would bear crawl half way do 20 Monkey Humpers and Boss Tweeds IC. Once again YHC failed to give great directions as some were doing SC. YHC doesn’t understand why his M knows exactly how to fill in the blanks but the PAX doesn’t…men! Finish the rest of the parking lot with the crab walk. Mosey to the shovel flag and back to the start for some rinse and repeat, Bear Crawl, exercises and crab Walk. It was during the exercises that YHC had a special moment with Buckeye. He seemed to enjoy doing Monkey Humpers while standing in front of YHC doing Boss Tweeds. It must get real lonely on that Coast Guard Boat. Another mosey around the shovel flag and back to end of the parking lot by cross fit. The place where they pay to exercise.

3 and 1. PAX would do a series of exercises, Burpees, LBC’s and Squats x 10 and then do a lap around the shovel flag and back to the start. Next round PAX would do 9 etc…..  Work your way toward one. The PAX put in maximum effort in the humid morning and reminded about the winter days when it was 22 degrees and a wind chill of 8. No complaining!!! Birdman made sure that YHC knew he was still recovering from the Murph. Aye to that as the legs started to get heavy. YHC called for the PAX to regroup after getting down to 6 and the PAX went at Revlon’s, formerly known as FNG, pace for the round of 5. Monkey is always good with the watch and YHC knew we could get another round in. I’m not sure Monkey Wrench’s watch is Gert certified but they can work on that later. Mosey to the flag with a slight detour around the sign by the road and back to the shovel flag.

MARY

American Hammers x 25

Low Slow Flutters x 25

Protractor took all the time we had left. Hard Stop by Monkey’s unauthorized watch.

There will be workouts tomorrow, so check Slack. Name-a-rama and the naming of the FNG. We now welcome Revlon to our Carterico family. YHC took us in prayer in the ball of man.

YHC is always honored to lead others and help them dig within themselves to find out what they have. It always works that way when you Q. You seem to find that extra bit of adrenaline as you lead. I’m not sure if it’s leading the way knowing the men behind you are counting on your leadership or the mumble chatter you will get afterwards. In the words of Mel Brooks, “It’s good to be the Q”.
