• When: 11/10/17
  • Workout Style: Run
  • QIC: wifi
  • PAX: Suitcase (Respect), Crabby Englishman, X-Box
  • AO: Beaufort, Dockhouse, Stampede

YHC arrived in the morning gloom to the Beaufort AO and shortly began to see headlights of the PAX. Suitcase, Crabby Englishman and his 2.0 X-Box arrived…we counted down to 5:30 with no further headlights in the cloudy and damp gloom. YHC quickly rolled out the F3 Definition, Mission, and Disclaimer, followed by the well known 4 and 5 mile routes down Front Street. YHC chose the 4 mile run in hopes of completing with the veteran 5 milers and still enough time for Mary, Name-a-rama, Announcements, and Prayer.

The 4 Musketeers quickly became “The 3” as YHC fell behind the PAX and their distant images ahead in the gloom became fainter by the second. Approaching the 2 mile mark YHC see’s the distant figures approaching on their return trip!! Uh oh, they have outpaced YHC more than anticipated and the goal to finish simultaneously suddenly in serious jeopardy. “Run Forrest, Run!” and ensure a finish before the 6:15 hard stop!

Through the gloom and on final approach, YHC passed the BB&T and spots the distant PAX getting closer once again. Remember leave no man behind?…Well, this veteran PAX certainly did and much appreciated by this YHC! We all rolled into the Dock House parking lot with time to spare for Mary (R over L/L over R, Sun Gods fwd/rev, Windmills, Cotton Pickers, Monkey Humpers).

Although a small PAX, we circled up for Name-a-rama to stay in practice.

Announcements: Saturday – Hero Patriot @ 7 am, WCHS; Field of Dreams @ 7 am, W. Carteret Park; Veterans Day Parade @ 11 am, Morehead; Gordy Lee @ 8 am, Ft. Macon.

YHC took us out in prayer.

Once again it was an honor to lead this fine group of men and get better together!!

Pray for our brave Veterans and all of their sacrifices to preserve our freedoms in this great country!!
