The Slick Cam workout for 7/7 originally was planned for a Saturday in June.  However, due to thin numbers that Saturday in June, the PAX of 4 shot down for the inaugural Dingbatter.  While YHC had reviewed his notes that were a few weeks old and felt prepared for the workout, YHC was thrown off guard by a few things.  First, when YCH returned from setting up cones on the beach, the PAX had started to gather in a place other than the usual spot in the parking lot.  Second, there were quite a few 2.0s (which is a good thing) but YHC started to wonder whether the workout may be a bit too challenging for some of the younger 2.0s.  With all of that going through YHC’s mind, YHC almost forgot about the mission statement and disclaimer and then literally drew a blank when it was attempted.  At that point, the PAX had to wonder what the next hour would entail.  Hopefully, YHC got back on track and pulled it back together for the workout.

THANG 1

  • Short mosey out of the Dunes Club parking lot to the parking lot of the Oceanana Motel.
  • Find a piece of Wall for a set of 11s
    • Cross wall for increasing Burpees
    • Cross back over wall for decreasing American Hammers

THANG 2

  • Short mosey from Oceanana parking lot to the pier where everyone partnered up.
  • Each partnership was responsible for  200 merkins, 200 LBCs, and 200 squats.  While one partner performed the exercise, the other partner held in People’s Chair on the pilings (during merkins), 6 inch leg raise (during LBCs), and Balls to Wall on the pilings (during squats).
  • All performed 200 air presses in groups of 50.

THANG 3

  • After a short water break, partner back up near surf line
  • One partner performs the following exercises, while the other partner sprints from surf line to dunes and back:
    • Carolina Dry Docks
    • Mountain Climbers
    • Wide grip Merkins
    • Plank Jacks
    • Chilcut Plank

  • Leg raise while tracing capital ABCs
  • Whack-a-mole

After a few announcements and name-a-rama, a young soccer player was branded LT.  And after a short prayer, all departed for general weekend fun in the land of Carterico.
