17 pax gathered around the Hero flag with very dark sky’s this June Saturday morning. Lightning and thunder not far to the west near Newport was erupting. Everyone was looking at Gert who has been struck TWICE ! The pax  was looking around waiting for someone to call it off, there was talk of Banks Grill and coffee and so forth. The Nantan Jang was present and I pushed the decision to him. He said lets roll. And Fry Daddy was there who is quickly achieving Chuck Norris type status in Carterico.  Last week at coffee I heard he was running the BRR by himself with a rucksack on… so we couldn’t show sings of weakness in front of Fry..

A brief disclaimer with added verbiage to include lightning strike was communicated. and off we go to find shelter for warm a rama as it was raining sheets.

We cant stay under the shelter for an hour so off we go to the track in the rain to start the —-

Thang

Partner work around the track. With a  partner we jog the turns and sprint the straight-a-way. In two laps we are to complete 150 merkins and 200 air squats as a team cumulative. Another two laps 150 Dry Docks, 200 Wojo Squats. Pallet Cleanser lap.

Off to the bench for some more partner work. Partner A does 20 Dips, Partner B runs around the building and then flip flop. And then rinse and repeat.

Mosey back to track and make our way to the practice football field where we line up on the sidelnes.

Partner A gets in a high plank. Partner B sprints to the opposite line where Parter A then lowers to a low plank or chill cut plank. Partner B sprints back and relieves. Flip Flop and do X 2.

Mini Michigan is next – we line up at the 50yard line and do 6 sprints to the goal post. Then do some excercises. 30 yard line 4 sprints back and forth. SOme more exercises called. Sprint to a rock (or pallet of sod) for the last sprint and then back for

COT- yhc took us out and gave thanks for the day. We remembered my Nephew Gibson (Chinese Downhill son) as it was the 2 year anniversary of losing him. We think about him everyday and life will never be the same without him. We thank the pax for always being there and lifting us up in good times and tough times.

 

Thanks for the accountability to the hard core Carterican weaselshakers for staying on me about back blasts. They are important, especially for the new guys.
