The Hero Patriot is one of my favorite workouts we have in Carterico because it is the only workout typically taking place on Sat morning, so anyone that wants to work out has to come to the Hero.  The fitness is obviously extremely important, but the fellowship is what keeps us coming back and it is hard to surpass the level of Fellowship at the Hero.  Case in point, we started our morning off with a video (compliments of Shroom) of a young bikini lady in a pond fishing.  This video, both the visual and audio, is much deeper than it sounds and is well worth the 96 seconds it takes to watch.  This video was not only educational and inspiring, but also gave us great insight into the mind of Shroom as well as the research he is doing at all hours of the night.  Thank you Shroom for kicking the Hero off to a great morning of Fellowship.

Warmarama-  We moseyed to the front of the school to loosen ourselves up and prepare for the rest of the morning-  20 SSH, 15 Windmills, 15 Willie Mays Hayes, 15 cotton pickers, 10 sun gods, 10 reverse sun gods, lt over rt, rt over lt.

We then moseyed to the track for the main event.

Lap 1 of the track= stopped at each corner of the track and completed 15 Merkins, 15 Squats, and 15 WW1’s.  We ran the straight away and back peddled the corners.

Lap 2 of the track= same as above but added a bleacher snake on the visitors side only

Lap 3 of the track= same as above but added a bleacher snake at the home side as well

We then moseyed to the pull bars and gathered a partner for pull ups and laps around the building.  We completed 10 pull ups each for a total of 3 rounds.  We then went over to the bench and did dips with laps around the building in between.  Finally, we went over to the wall and completed balls to the wall and peoples chair with laps in between.  We traveled back to the track and around to the flag for Mary where we did more Merkins, Squats, and WW1’s for a day total of 200 each.  At this point, Gert realized we had not quite gotten to 3 miles, so we moseyed across the parking lot to complete our 3 mile journey.
