• When: 04/02/18
  • Workout Style: BOOT CAMP
  • QIC: RON BURGUNDY
  • PAX: Reef Donkey, Immigrant, Navy, Villa (Respect), Sniffer (Respect), Mahindra, Wilson, Dance Hall, Carleton,
  • AO: Back Blasts

A couple of HC’s made YHC feel pretty good about the morning. The PAX was alive and ready to rumble as the 5 minute warnning was given. There was talk about the QAR wanting to use the field but we were having none of it. We had the numbers, the size and the strength to take on the QAR. They needed to stand down or get to the AO earlier. The PAX knew Nippleshot had HC’d, so we waited for him to show, 3 minute, Nippleshot still has time, 1 minute no Nippleshot, no headlights, time to move on. 9 men stood strong in the glowing street lights at Big Rock stadium and listened to YHC toll them what the three F’s stood for and then gave a flawless mission statement with disclaimer. I remember last time YHC didn’t give the disclaimer and Reef reminded him about it. Don’t make Reef mad.

WARM-A-RAMA

The PAX moseyed up the parking lot toward center field and did the following. SSH x 15, Sun Gods x 15 each way, Abe Vigodas x 10 cuz they take a long time when you do them slow and correct. Mosey to the parking lot by the soccer field. We passed the QAR and we thought we over heard Steamer still explaining how to do things from his previous Q. Remember it doesn’t have to be complicated. The PAX performed Cottton Pickers x 15, Hillbillies x 15 and Good Mornings x 15

THE THANG

YHC took the idea of 7’s or 11’s and gave it a twist. The PAX would line up on the sideline of the soccer field and perform three exercises merkins, monkey humpers and mountain climbers. This will now be called MMM MMM GOOD, in reference to the three M’s. The PAX would do 11 merkins, run forward to the middle, where YHC had placed cones and do 11 monkey humpers and then to the far sideline for 11 mountain climbers, (left and right counted as one). From the same sideline 10 merkins, (Merkins were always done as a group so we could stay together) run backwards to the middle, monkey humpers and then to the sideline for 10 mtn. climbers…..Back and forth, forward and backward until the PAX reached 1 of each.

To the picnic tables for Dips IC x 20, Step Ups IC x 20, Earkins SC x 20 and Prisoner Squats SC x 20. Palate cleanser around the island that held the QAR flag. Round 2 rinse and repeat doing 15 of each and round 3 rinse and repeat doing 10. YHC was excited how the PAX was doing and forgot the last prisoner squats. Reef was quick to point out that we needed to do them. Aye Reef. “If you are going to do them, do all of them” Reef Donkey. I bet if we Reef was a boat captain on one those big wooden boats during colonial time everyone would want to mutiny but no one would be brave enough to challenge him. AYE AYE Captain Reef.

Mosey to the stadium wall for BTW with a 3 count from each man, 2 burpees, a quick mosey around the vehicles and then end with picking cherries and putting them in our basket. We picked cherries as long as YHC wanted to. Rinse and repeat another round of BTW, burpees, mosey and cherries. One more round of BTW, burpees, mosey and cherries.

Low Slow Flutter x 20

American Hammer x 20

Box Cutters x 20……Hard Stop

It was greeat to see some of the regulars and irregulars. Navy joined us as he is using his week off to try out different workouts and meet different men. This is something we should all try and do and not get hung up with the same old crowd. Villa made it back to back days after taking the cold months of winter off. Carleton has been fighting the fartsack monster for a while but it looks like he is winning the fight, T-Claps. Mahindra was back at it after a week long vacation. Dance Hall is there every chance he gets. Immigrant and Wilson are steady players who always bring the effort. Sniffer says he hates to run but he always seems to be out front. He could be in line for a graduation. Don’t forget Reef Donkey who is always willing to do what is necessary to make the PAX better. You want to be somebody? Be like Reef and no one will take your ship.

YHC took us out with prayer for the Hall family. Immigrant reminded us to think about the cross and the burdens we carry. Christ carried a burden that none of us could imagine. Love your Lord, your family, others, and each other.

It was my plasure today.
