This was going to be a difficult day for YHC, as today marks 2 years of the hardest decision of my life. My dad, brother and I had to say goodbye to my Mom. I could not think of a better way to help take this off my mind than starting my day with my F3 brothers. It just happened to work out that Sparkles would ask me to Q on this day at the Boonedocks. I knew I would focus on the workout planned for my brothers and not so much on bad memories. I learned this from Navy who had celebrated his Dad by Qing the Mullet Wrapper and recalled how much that helped him. Thanks Navy! Arriving at the AO, I noticed that Purple Rain was already out for a run. What dedication and leadership he shows all the time. The rest of the PAX start rolling in. I saw that Tony Romo and Backup have a FNG with them. Awesome! 2 min warning…. Hard Start! YHC stated the meaning of F3, Mission statement and Core values were said by me randomly picking 5 PAX to say one each.
Warm A Rama
SSH x 20, Left over right for a 10 count then switch, hillbillies x 10, Mosey to the “Hill of Death”. On the way to the hill, I instructed the PAX that every time I say Merkin, they have to drop and do 10 OYO. We did this 5 times for a total of 50 Merkins on the way to the hill. Run up the hill, 20 plank jacks at the top. Lunges to the bottom of the hill, 20 mountain climbers. Run to the top, 20 Plank jacks. Lunge to the bottom, 20 LBC’s. Mosey… 30 Merkens on the way back to stop #3
The Thang
At stop #3 I had placed 4 cones in a line spaced a bout 10 yards apart. Time for a little “Land and Sea”. 1st cone- 20 Merkins then bear crawl to cone #2- 30 LBCs then crab crawl to cone #3- 30 squats then bear crawl to cone #4- 20 Carolina Dry Docks and Repeat… Mosey to stop #4.
At stop #4 we partnered up for a Dora. One partner ran approximately 40 yards while the second partner started exercising, then switch. Together, each team would complete 100 Squats, 200 Plank Jacks & 200 Mountain Climbers. Mosey to stop #5
At stop #5 Dips x 30 & Erkins x 30. Up against the wall for a little “Balls to the Wall”. Each PAX gave a 10 count while we all held our positions on the wall. Well, we held it until Tony Romo started counting like “The Count” from Sesame Street! LSF x 20 & Freddie Mercury’s x 15 then mosey back to the flag…
Just enough time for a short Mary. LSF x15 & 13 LBCs… Hard Stop! Count A Rama, Name A Rama, Now it was time to name our FNG! After learning a little bit about this gentleman, we decided to ask him about his most embarrassing moment without getting arrested. His story earned his nickname “Milkshake”! All of the PAX welcomed him to the group And I would to say, he did a fantastic job on his first day! Announcements and prayer requests were taken and Tony Romo led us in prayer.
Earlier, before the Warm A Rama, I had the pleasure of telling everyone a little bit about my mother who had passed. My mom never knew a stranger and was very inspirational to everyone she met. She was always quick to let someone know that she was proud of them for even small accomplishments. I asked the PAX if they would celebrate her today by telling their wives, children, friends or coworkers that they were proud of them. I’m sure my mom would have loved that! I’d like to think my F3 brothers for being there and supporting me today. Thanks to Sparkles for allowing me, once again, to lead this great group of Warriors. Great job everyone, I’m PROUD of you!!
SYITG,
PRINCESS
