16 men gathered at the boondocks this morning, and it was great to see some of the newer faces for a little Q school. The western pax is plagued with limpers and gimpers, so we would not be leaving the parking lot today.  After a countdown and hard start, The Q reviewed the mission statement, disclaimer, and how to count. Some of the warmaRama exercises were done OYO so that the Q could talk while we were moving. After a few more warmarama exercises to demo in-cadence and single-count counting, we moseyed to the back of the church. The goal was to show some less traditional F3 thangs where the Q may not have to count as much. At first we partnered up for a flip-flop exercise, with palate cleanser laps in between: partner 1: 10 LBCs and Partner 2: plank hold. After 10, flip-flop and repeat until reaching 100 LBCs. Repeat using Merkins and plank holds.  We took this opportunity to discuss the importance of picking up the six, and managing time as a Q.   Next, a little mosey to the next lot for four corners using 4 x 4 plank jacks. Then, over to the long curb for AMRAP curb taps, urkins, and squats. This was repeated in all four directions with uneven Merkins and uneven squats with a pallet cleanser lap around the parking lot between each. The Pax tends to get competitive with the laps at times, Which can easily lead to injury (as some pax quickly found out). Next was a version of catch me if you can with inchworm Burpee‘s and 20 LBC’s.   Then, we started also a round of sevens with Peter Parker‘s and Bobby Hurley‘s, which was Omaha’d due to the clock. We moseyed  back to the flag for a few Mary exercises, allowing some of the newer pax to practice counting again. Finally, a circle of trust with the count off, nameaRama, a renaming of FNG (bullseye), and announcements/prayer requests.  We closed in prayer, thanking the Lord for his forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and praying for Bullseye’s new venture in life.

YHC was very impressed with how the newer pax did with counting this morning. Site Qs, we definitely have some guys that need a VQ or a second / third Q!   They are ready. Sign them up!!!

I appreciate the opportunity, and always enjoy the morning fellowship and sweat with the pax.
