  • AO: Cape Carteret Expansion

I must say I was excited as I started planning this workout.  The HCs were rolling in and I felt like we were going to have a descent sized workout and plan some stuff to accommodate a large sized group.  Upon my alarm going off I heard the rain, which concerned me a bit, but I said that will not keep the guys away the know our core principals.

YHC arrived early at 5:20 to get a lay of the land and was excited to see Princess already there, the second thing I noticed was the smell.  It appears that the park was a drop off for trash and it was quite pungent.  Navy arrived and time was running short, we all kind of stared at each other wondering where all were at.  I realized that I would have to Omaha quickly for a new plan for a smaller group.  It appears the “Runs” were making its way through our PAX and a couple were at home on the throne.

YHC was tired from a massive beatdown the day before and noticed that my PAX which was up to 5 now were pretty tired also.  I would need to ease into this one, so I eased them in with lots of moans and groans.  I let the workout build up to what still ended up being quite a massive beating.

Tclaps to these guys posting today, the rain, a tough workout the day before, traveling, and age.  I could tell no one had a lot of motivation today.  Those are the days that make real leaders: I know getting out of that bed when it is raining is not easy and add fatigue both physical and emotional makes for a difficult morning. YOU GUYS ROCKED IT!  I might of eased you into it but by the end my arms were still spent and we got about 2 miles in also.  Those are the days that we need each other and I was proud to be doing it with you.  To those on the throne I hope it passes soon and see you next time.

Prayers and Out
