YHC arrived early to complete the workout plan and get settled. Deciding to do some moseys away from the parking lot in case there was a repeat outbreak of gunfire like last week.  Maybe those Swansboro boys get their Mullet with a 9mm instead of a net.

Sidestraddle hops 25 IC, Sundgods Forward/Reverse 10 IC, R/L and L/R stretch 10 count, Abe Vigodas 10 IC

Indian Run mosey to the far corner of the field, find a light to work under ’cause us old guys can’t read a Weinke in the dark.

 

Thang 1

Plank punches 15 IC, Hand release merkins 20 IC, Diamond merkins 15 IC, Recover to: Burpees 10 oyo, Airpress 25 IC.  The PAX really seemed to enjoy the beginning of the burn, guess maybe I count slower than others, maybe it’s holding the plank in between until recovering for the burpees.  Nice way to extend the pressure.

Mosey to the far corner of the field again head to a light for the vision impaired Q.

 

Thang 2

Jump squat 25 IC, Box jump, 20 IC, Monkey humper 20 IC, Imperial walker 10 IC, Alternating lunge R/L 10 ea IC.  Thought this thang we might lower the hear rate and breathe a little bit, but no, jump squat and box jumps don’t really let that happen.

Mosey back to the far corner field light.

 

Thang 3

Staggered arm/leg merkins L/R 20 ic (looks like spiderman crawling but doing a merkin instead), Alternating shoulder tap 20 IC, Plank jack 10 IC, Chilcut jack 10 IC. The staggered merkin puts some lat pressure on, PAX was generous with their praise and assessment.  They also appreciated the Chilcut jacks for the core, always nice for the Q to get some feedback.

Thang 4

1 leg squat R/L 10 ea IC, Baryshnikov squat 15 IC, Hillbilly 10 IC, Copperhead squat 10 IC. Mosey around the building to parter BTTW with 3 burpees, both start in BTTW partner 1 drops to do 3 burpees while partner 2 holds BTTW, after partner 2 completes burpees is the 1 count, rinse repeat for 3 rounds. Somewhere around here we temporarily lost our FNG, think he went round the building so he could check out the stars where there was less light impeding to the view.  But he found his way back so no need to call 911 for a search and rescue.

Announcements

Cooter on the Q for the Dingbatter tomorrow.  This will be a convergence with Field of Dreams, hard start 0700 at Emerald Isle Ice Machine. Excited for this tomorrow as Cooter will be laying out a beat-down like no other, no pressure Cooter!
