It’s always a pleasure when I have the opportunity to Q at the Dreadnought and a challenge to see exactly what can be fit into a very limited window of time! This past Tuesday’s workout was no exception, the goal was to get in 4 miles of pavement pounding….and so we began.
Disclaimer was offered and a mosey around the parking lot (the long way round) started, ended in front of the school.
Warmarama as follows
Tobacco Croppers X 10
Windmills X 15
SSH X 20
Enough of that we took off at a brisk pace for the track to begin the beat down, first up would be two laps of “CATCH ME IF YOU CAN”!
As follows:
Lap 1: Partner A runs backward while Partner b does 3 Burpees….Partner B sprints to catch Partner A and they flip flop
Lap 2 : Partner A runs backward while Partner B does 5 Spider Merkins…” ”
Warmed up and ready to go we circle back around the parking lot and make our way toward the bike path moving at a very quick pace we stop in three dry locations to perform the following.
5 – 8ct Body Builders OYO
10 – WWI’s – SC
15 – Dry Docks – IC
We take the sharp left and work out way to the picnic tables at Swinson Park for another quick workout of the following:
15 Dips/15 Durkins/15 Urkins
10 Dips/10 Durkins/10 Urkins
5 Dips/5 Durkins/5 Urkins
Back on the mosey again with time running low and no ground to spare we make our way back down the bike path repeating the same three stops of 5/10/15 as performed on the way out. We move to the left of the school and back to the track to balance the whole workout out…One more lap of Catch Me if You Can!
Final Lap of Catch Me: Partner A runs and Partner B performs 5 Peter Parkers then alternates to Parker Peters on the next stop.
A short mosey from the track around the parked cards and back to the flag completed our 4 mile journey…Spent!
Announcements where made, prayer requests offered up and YHC took the PAX out in prayer!
As always an honor and a privilege to lead such an inspiring and motivated group!
