Jokers R Wild!

It was no surprise that the mid 30’s felt like the teens as I planted the 1st shovel flag and laid out a few Firestones behind CHS at 5:15am. YHC quickly warmed up as Snooki pulled in and rolled out his 120lb tracker tires and ropes to add to the plethora of Coupons. All we needed now were the pax. They came in like clockwork, 8 total with Kiwi on 2 wheels just in time for some Big Arm Swirly things for a brief Warm-A Rama. QIC added some music for motivation and an attempt to drowned out my heavy breathing.

HEARTS = BURPIES  – Song Choice – Baba O’Riley, The Who

JOKERS = The TIRE DRILL – 2 man teams, one runs with small tire to fence 1 mile away [maybe just 75 yards but seemed far] drops tire, runs back to switch with partner who is rope dragging large tire. Both tires must touch fence, then back to start. Somewhat a success as seemed to be a bonus workout. Song Choice – Comfortably Numb, Pink Floyd

We had time for some MARY, Mountain Climbers , Dying CockRoaches, and Snooki’s choice, another TIRE DRILL. Q added some “Balls to the Barbed Wire Fence”, and Peoples Chair/Air Press 10 count, closed out with 15 Merkins IC, Hard Stop 6:15a

The beauty in this crazy little event was keeping the PAX together, YHC hopes all benefited in some way. One of the things that can kill a gym routine is doing the same circuit every time, groundhog day. I think that Griswold and Kiwi would still be doing Burpies if we didn’t have a hard stop, and Laettner does more on one foot than YHC with 2. Great to see Maytag back out midweek, Snooki still strong as an ox and great to have Pillbox back in town. PurpleRain inspired and recruited a dozen PAX last Saturday to step out of their comfort zone and sign up for the COOP, great leadership. More announcements to follow I’m sure. A lot of “Iron” out there this morning, nice work all!
