• When: 9/30/17
  • Workout Style: Bootcamp
  • QIC: Steamer
  • PAX: Gertrude (respect), Stanky Leg, Rooney, Doogie (respect), Pastor Clevor, The Drive, Flipova, Second Mile, Pryor, Crabby, Pela, Duck Butter, Xbox, Doublemint, Steamer
  • AO: Back Blasts, Hero Patriot, West Carteret High School

A pax of 15 gathered on the grounds of WCHS.  YHC figured that the crowd would be thin due to a western migration of Wolfpackers headed to the City of Oaks and a group of ballers hitting up the chum run.  Ole Doublemint got two holes punched on his man card and double posted for the day.  With no FNGs, and a foggy eyed Duck Butter holding in beer turds, a brief welcome was given and we went to moving for a rolling:

Warm A Rama:

SSH IC x 25, mosey

Cotten Pickers IC x 15

SunGods IC x 15, rev x 15, mosey

Hillbillies IC x15

Burpees OYO x 5, mosey to the track and 400 m mosey around it after the perimeter of the school was covered.

1min stretch by Flipova

The Thang:

2x2s with your partner.  This involved 2-4 count merkins and 2-4 count mountain climbers. Both constituted 1 rep thus a 2×2 was 2 reps. Partners  would run 200 m in the opposite directions on the track and meet for 4x4s which was 4-4 count merkins and 4-4 count mountain climbers being 1 rep. 4 reps were done.  Run another 200 m back to the home side for 6x 6s.  A brief honest disclaimer, this got bad fast thus we did 3 cycles of 6x6s and it was time to carry on. 200 m mosey for a little visit from old Jack Webb.

LBC IC x 4, LSF IC x 4, 4 round ladder to 16 IC reps.

Mosey to the practice field for cone exercises.

3 cones out, 25 yards apart.  The object was 10 reps of an exercise then run to the first cone for 10 reps of another, run back for 15 reps run to the second cone for 15 reps then back, followed by 20 reps and run to the third cone for 20 and back to plank for the six.  The exercises were:

Hand Release Merkins IC/ Squats (As an aside Gertrude was always the first out of the gate therefore whiskey dicking was very suspected.)

Dry Docks/ Copperhead Squats

The rep count was getting quite high.

Mosey to the building near the pull-up bars with a short bleacher snake stop on the home side.

7 count Balls to the Wall down the line each man

We all took a seat on the benches and YHC called mercy and every man got a 5 count. Yes we just plain sat.

Back to the track for a Burpee ladder.

3 burpees then 100m dash, 6 burpees followed by 100m dash, 9 burpees followed by a 100m dash, 12 burpees followed by a 100 m dash.  Smoked and listening to muchos complaining we moseyed to the front of the school for a 60 sec plank.  YHC asked each man to think of someone in their F3 lives that they wanted to honor for sharpening their iron and it would be shared at the next station.  We moseyed to the school buses for a very long 6 in leg hold while each man briefly named that person and told why.

With oxygen low and 4 mins left it was time to head to the shovel flag and have:

Mary:

XOs 10 to 25 seconds

American Hammer IC x 25

WWI SC x 4 and hard stop because I owed the pax time from running over on Monday.

COT:

Chum Run at 8:30, Duck has the Tablesetter on Monday, there will be a Gordy Lee.  Prayers for Doogie’s dad that is having significant health issues, for the Chum runners, and for those traveling.   YHC took us out. It was an honor to lead and I am eternally grateful for what F3 has done for me as a man.  With Duck next up to lead the charge, SYITG!
