It was a great morning for the Hero and the weather was much better than predicted. I rolled into West a little early to make sure I had the flag secure in the wind. As I was walking back to the truck to stretch, I saw some flashing red lights coming into the parking lot. As the lights got closer, I realized it was someone running into the parking lot. Since I was the only truck in the parking lot, I was trying to figure out who it was. It was Pasqually who had moseyed over from his house in Brandywine with the solo Standard. From that point on the rest of the day was easy.
We moseyed to the generators and began our warm up- SSH’s, Cotton Pickers, Sun Gods, Rev Sun Gods, Windmills, Lt over Rt, Rt over Lt
We moseyed a lap around the track, where Steamer was kindly waiting on us, and proceeded to the main event.
We ran the 4 corners around the track. Run to Corner 1- 5 burpees, run backwards to Corner 2- 5 burpees, run to Corner 3- 5 burpees, run backwards to Corner 4- 5 burpees, run to finish and plank for all. Round 2 added 10 merkins to the burpees at each corner. Round 3 added 15 squats to merkins and burpees at each corner. Round 4 added 20 LBC’s to squats, merkins, and burpees at each corner. Total- 80 Burpees, 120 Merkins, 120 Squats, 80 LBC’s.
We moseyed to the pull up bars for round of partner pull ups, round of dips, and round of WW1’s with a building lap in between. We did this rotation 2 times. We then moseyed back to the track for 1 Indian Run. 1 Round of LBC’s. 1 last Indian run lap around and back to the flag for some closing Mary. Total mileage was 3.2 miles.
Great job to all the men who came out today. Everyone worked extremely hard. It was great to have everyone and it was AWESOME to see Carl E ton today. He has been out everyday this week and put in another great effort this am. Prayer requests continued for David Hessmer. Also want to keep the guys running today in Harkers Island in our thoughts as they push through the 5/10k’s today. Thank you again to all that came out and pushed each other. — Bayliner
