“Oh my Lord, it’s cold out here” YHC said as I stepped outside of my house. As I pulled into the AO, I could feel a steady breeze but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Sparkles was the first to arrive. No conversation because we were sitting in our cars enjoying the heat. All the other PAX started arriving and doing exactly the same. I think we all waited until about 5:26 before getting out of our cars and circling up. Kiwi walks up and he is fully dressed and layered up. If Kiwi is in full gear, IT’S BITTER COLD OUTSIDE!! All I could think of was hurry up 5:30! Then finally, HS! As I delivered a flawless mission statement I have to admit, I kept the opening conversation short because we needed to get moving.

The Thang
Starting against the wall, I decided to throw a couple of exercises into a combination of Wall Worms, Merkins, and People’s Chair. We started the Wall Worms up the wall and then down while completing 5 merkins at the bottom of the wall. Recover, against the wall in a people’s chair for 30 seconds. The PAX did a total of 3 sets like this. I heard a lot of grunts and groans but no Mumble Chatter so I must be doing ok. Mosey to the parking lot.
While studying the lexicon, YHC found out that they have an exercise listed called Princess Tea Party, HA! WE HAVE TO DO THIS! Three sets completed, totaling 30 Patty Cake Merkins and 1 min 30 sec of an Air Chair against your partner’s back. I will definitely use this again in the future!
The Rolling Stone has a huge parking lot. What a fine place to use my signature workout “Five Point Resort”. Four cones set up in the corners, each cone with a different exercise. Cone #1 Squats x30, Cone #2 Merkins x20, Cone #3 Carolina Dry Docks x20, Cone #4 LBCs x30. PAX start in the middle with 5 burpees. Then to a cone and back to the middle to complete 4 burpees after each cone. After completion, Backup gave us a 10 count, then 3 cones and back to the middle to complete 3 burpees and so on… It’s a killer!! Mosey..
Over to the fountain for some Dips, Erkins and Step-ups x40. Mosey back to the flag with about 4 minutes to spare. A Sprint for about 30 yards 10 Merkins at the end and back for 10 LBCs. We ended in a circle at the flag with LSF x14 to a hard stop! Count, Name-a-roma, announcements about the 21 day challenge, Tony Romo’s Christmas party and prayer request lifting up Catfight’s military Brothers that have not been found due to a crash, My grandmother and a young gentleman who has pancreatic cancer. Tony Romo led the prayer for us, thanks bro!
In closing, what could I possibly say that Duckbutter didn’t say in his post yesterday. I agree with Ron Burgundy that if you get a second, read his back blast. He hit the nail on the head about F3. It’s always my privilege to lead this group of fine gentleman who have become my friends. Thanks for the extra push today, and as always you guys ROCK!!
