  • QIC: Tony Romo
  • PAX: Purple Rain, Sparkles, Cooter, Maytag, Skimmer, Griswold
  • AO: Boonedocks

The PAX gathered at the Boondocks for a hard start of 5:30 for my second Q.  The anticipation was in the air, “will Tony Romo get the F3 mission statement right?”  “Has he learned how to properly introduce, setup and count the next exercise?”  “Is he going to make good on his promise to make use do the lunge relay?”

Well, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad, nailed the mission statement and we did some lunges.  Still need to go back to preschool for counting.  Next time….I promise.

Started the PAX off with a run down the street and various warm up excercises at the first intersection, from there, we stopped at each intersection to get familiar with the ground doing progressive sets of Merkins, Carolina Dry Docks, and Squats to the dock then a nice jog back to the parking lot where we teamed up for a lunge-tastic time. One team member lunged half the parking lot while other started on 50 Merkins, 100 WWI’s, and 150 squats.  I was by myself and didn’t know I could split them till I was half way through, love you guys, mean it!

During this time I overheard an interesting conversation between two of the PAX regarding lubricants for runners…er um…chaffing, one of them mentioned picking up Astro Glide, to which the other replied “I think you mean Body Glide.”  We then finished and headed to our next exercise the “Tunnel of Love.”  I can’t make this up!

We rounded out the workout letting the PAX pick their poison and Griswold treated us to what seemed like 8 minutes of flutter kicks paired with Purple Rain sounding off like Sgt. Slaughter for the count.

Purple Rain closed with an awesome prayer.

See…….exercise is a social lubricant, where else could you hear this stuff at 5:30 AM in the morning?
