YHC was ready to see this day come! The Boondocks was supposed to be my first Q. So, wasn’t quite as nervous as being thrown into the Mullet Wrapper at the last minute which became my VQ. Headed to the site to do some Recon, seeing that I was going to have to “Omaha” due to construction materials behind Lowe’s. No problem! We’ll just use the front parking lot instead. As I headed back to the AO, I noticed that Sparkles had already planted the shovel flag.(great site Q!!) The other PAX all arrived and HS… Welcomed everyone, explain F3, mission statement and core principles!!

Workout
As we made our way to the corner to cross the street, We performed 10 Merkins before Crossing. At the driveway of Lowe’s entrance, We performed 10 LBCs. I love this hill at Lowe’s! It’s perfect for workout! It’s moderately steep and long. I explained that we were going to run to the top and perform 10 Merkins OYO, before I could get “OYO” out, Cooter was half way up the hill (Man, that dude can run!) Then stated that we were going to do 2 lunges and 1 squat back down the hill where we would perform 20 LBCs at the bottom. Backwards run up the hill, 20 Merkins. Run down the hill 30 LBCs. Run back to the top, 20 Merkins. Mosey…
We then made our way around the parking lot for a total of 3 stops with 3 exercises at each stop. Spider Merkins, American Hammer, Monkey Humpers, etc.. Mosey back across the street. And of course, 10 Merkins at the corner!
We made our way to the parking lot across from the AO where I had set up some cones and signs. Welcome everyone to Five Points Resort!! Only this won’t be a vacation LOL. The idea for Five Points, I have to admit, came from Zima who was visiting our beach and Qed my first day with F3.(almost killed me!) There are four corners and the middle is the fifth point.
1st corner – 20 Merkins 2nd – 20 Carolina Dry Docks 3rd – 30 Squats 4th – 30 LBCs 5th – 5 Burpees
You start in the middle, then make your way to a corner, perform the exercise and then back to the middle. Keep going until all four corners are completed and you in back in the Middle with 4 burpees. Then, you pick any three corners and you do another round with three corners that you picked 3 burpees in the middle. And then you pick 2 corners, then one… You get the idea!! Mosey close to the flag. Time to do some Dips and Erkins x30. Back to the flag with 1 minute left so we circled up and performed the Superman for 1 minute… HS!!
Count, Name-A-Rama, an announcement about the 3rd annual Rotary Park convergence on Thursday. Prayer request were taken as we lifted up Backup’s grandma and Purple Rain led us in prayer. Purple Rain also came today bearing gifts…. “Freed to Lead” books and F3 stickers were purchased by Purple Rain for anyone who wanted one. First he buys us coffee… then he is giving us free books and stickers!! This guy Must Be Santa Claus on Halloween Eve!! Thanks again man!!
Great job today guys!! All of the PAX stayed together and showed what F3 is made of. I would like to take a second to mention “Backup”. I love this kid… Here is a kid that gets out of bed at 4:30 or so to come and join in a workout with his dad while majority of his peers his age are still asleep or they’re playing video games when they’re supposed to be asleep! I think this is great parenting on the part of Tony Romo and his wife. Tony Romo has shown us if you challenge your kids, sometimes they will surprise you and meet that challenge! Food for thought….
