“No one should think he is better than someone else. God has given believers different gifts to use to serve others. Some of these gifts are faith, service, teaching, giving, leading, and being merciful. Everyone has a different part, but all the parts are important.”   Romans 12

“Anything worth doing is worth doing together.”  PK

26 pax showed up before 0530 on a Tuesday morning… Awesome. The Q was pleased to see a familiar face of a FNG that rode in with holiday-mansion. The first comment out of his mouth was “ it’s early”.  True.    We also had a surprise visit from the OG Pasquale, which is good because the Q apparently needed help with the mission statement 🙄.    At a hard start, the Q reviewed the 3F’s, the 5 core principles, and a disclaimer.  In his excitement to start the warmarama, The Q forgot the most important part… our mission statement 🤦‍♂️.  The pax were quick to remind him and he somehow managed to spit one out before starting (IC):  hillbillies 10, Michael Phelps 10, Mountain climbers 10, plank hold, hand release Merkins 10, and plank hold. The reason for the plank hold was to give the Q a couple minutes of chatter to explain his start in  F3 and how it has affected him. That part didn’t really go as planned considering the mumble chatter.  We also had to take the opportunity pick on purplerain (his knees were already dirty before we finished the planks during warm-up 😂).   We next moseyed over to the parking lot across the street. We circled up to start with an Al Gore squat hold. This was another chance for the Q to talk about his unexplainable desire to get the Jacksonville launch rolling and give some other guys what he has gotten out of F3. Al gore turned into squat jumps and more Al gore…That was enough of that.    We next chose partners that we did not know outside of F3 workouts. We would stay with our partner for the rest of the work out, with the goal of finding out 3 things about that person and their family, before the hard stop. We lined up a third of the way in the parking lot for some partner work: partner 1 performed hand release Merkens AMRAP, while partner 2 ran to the opposite curb and performed 10 IC alternating toe taps. They then ran back and tagged out their partner. Rinse and repeat X 3. Next, in wheelbarrow position, each partner did 10 IC alternating shoulder taps, and then plank circles in each direction. Next, was a mosey back to the road where we started at the first of nine light poles. With Steamer-like instructions, it was explained that you would stay with your partner and Stack Burpee’s with increasing Merkins at each light pole, along with a set of 10 IC air presses. First pole: 1 Burpee, 10 air presses. second pole: one Burpee, one double Merkin Burpee, 10 air presses. Third pole: one Burpee, one double Merkin Burpee, one triple Merkin burpee, 10 air presses… This pattern was to repeat up to 5 and then count back down to 1. Even with the extra verbiage of instructions, apparently the pax didn’t get it 🤷‍♂️.   Either way, we got sweaty and made it down to the dock, with each pair staying  together to support his partner.   After the six was swept up, and the fast pax had time to lounge at the dock, we met in the grass by the water for some more partner work: partner WWI  20, Booyah Merkins 10 IC, partner plank jump overs with a squat 5 each way.   Looking at his watch, the Q saw that we needed to head back to the flag. We moseyed as a group and swept up the six at each intersection along the way, for some IC exercises: Intersection 1: plank jacks 10, mountain climbers 10, Peter Parker’s 10, plank jacks 10.  Intersection 2: copperhead squats 10, squat jumps 10, copperhead squats 10, star jumps 10. Intersection 3: hand release merkins 20.    Time was running short, so jailbreak back to the flag. The Q was pleased at this point to see the pax staying with the six, as well as effort to stay with and support their partners. T-claps to BillieJean for staying right at his partner side and encouraging, at only his second F3 work out! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.   There was no time left back at the flag, so the Q instructed for a lay-n-pray while he read the verses from Romans chapter 12 listed above. The Q had come across those words this past Sunday, and thought about the men of F3.          As the as the fifth Core principle states, we finished in a COT. A few announcements were made including the Jacksonville launch with duck butter on the Q this Saturday. Show up pax and return some of his relentless mumble chatter!       Prayer request were made, including Cooter’s family and dollywood’s pending PCS.   The anxious Q then went to take us out… Again with a rookie mistake, the Q got called out for not naming the FNG.🤦‍♂️.   Let’s try again… FNG in the middle, and after discussing his sailing trips, he came out with the name of OliveOyl.   The Q closed us in a brief and out of breath prayer to end the morning.

YHC cannot express how appreciative I am of the influence of the pax over the last couple of years. Guys like Laettner and Purple got this western thing rolling, handing out some early leadership assignments to some of us rookies.   Many of the other pax have been motivating and inspiring.  A few of them have had a tactful way of demonstrating some humbleness and “listening skills” that the Q needs to work on. I appreciate that.     Since YHC started F3, my cholesterol has come out of the red, my resting heart rate is down, my blood pressure is down, and I have much less stress buildup. I’ve also had a great time at some of our 2nd F parties, races, road trip‘s for CSAUP events, and some crazy workouts in all types of weather.  But, that’s not at all why I continue to post. I’m not sure I can explain what it is that I get out of F3, but I do know that I want to give it away. I’ve never had such a desire to EH others into this group. I pray for this Jacksonville launch to take off. I pray that we follow up with these new guys. Let’s keep this awesome thing rolling!
