The morning started off brisk with a slight breeze. HIN was ready for the virgin Q to set foot on her beloved field.  The men were highly motivated, highly dedicated, and dang near suffocated from excitement. After a quick Army PRT warm-up, the journey moved east.  Jang-a-lang quickly reminded the fearless leader that HIN was not the stampede to which many chuckles were had.  The movement continued east while only halting for squats and bicycles to train flexibility and mobility of the lower extremities.  The procession quickly, albeit not quick enough for some, about-faced and locked in a grid coordinate for the hill next to the college. The unit made quick work back west and made contact with the base of the hill to begin three sets of the Texas push-up challenge along with the Gambetta leg circuit.

  • Texas Push up (you have to be there to understand)
  • Gambetta Leg Circuit- 20 squats, 20 lunge walks, 20 reverse lunges, 10 squat jumps
  • 300m Run

After completing actions on the objective the men popped smoke and beat feet back towards the flagpole to stand tall in front of the top sarge exhibiting the fruits of our labor.  Monkey-Wrench graciously played a quick game of X’s and O’s and the Q finished off with a strong grind of old glory, aka Merica’, aka the Hammer.
