- AO: Green Mile
The PAX gathered this morning in the cold darkness of Emerald Isle for THE GREEN MILE. Actually, I picked up Purple Rain, cause he just moved next door to me the other day. However, according to Purple Rain, I left waaaay to early, so I messed up his extra 5 minutes of beauty rest. Sorry buddy, it beats having to do extra burpees!
We had a hard start of 5:30 and decided to take our old route down Coast Guard Road. Our rag tag bunch had some injured participants, our pal Navy was beat up pretty good this weekend by Griswold at his boot camp. Apparently while flipping tires, he heard a pop in his hammie, he hobbled along and the made the best of things. It was the first time I actually caught up to Navy on a run (hey, I am slow). Keep Navy in your prayers for a quick recovery.
Lunchbox and Purple Rain brought up the rear, we suspect that the half marathon that Purple Rain ran in over the weekend was still humbling him a bit. The team ran for 21 minutes down then 21 minutes back. Big kudos to Laettner for bringing the positive attitude lately, loving the encouragement!
Hard stop at 6:15, Skimmer is the Q for Boondocks tomorrow, I believe this is his VQ, so if you can show up, please do. No major prayer requests, Lunchbox took us out with a great prayer.
