We almost lost two F3 brothers in the gloom of the morning. YHC was turning on Tootle Rd. and heading for the AO, when two runners began crossing in front of him. YHC recognized the shirts and figured out who it was, Jang and Frosted, doing a standard to the workout. I rolled my window down and told the idiots to get off the road. YHC learned later that Frosted was ready with a few choice words but the logos on the van gave me away and we didn’t have to throw down.
YHC arrived on scene and set his cones and waited for the PAX. Immigrant was first to arrive, Monkey, the idiot runners and the PAX kept growing. There was talk about an FNG showing and sure enough, we had a winner. I felt very priviledged to have Misty and Doublemint post together. I know they have their troubles but true love conquers all. 16 in all showed to tackle the Thursday blahs, 5, 3, 2, 1, F3 and mission statement given #Pasqually, disclaimer and we were off.
Mosey to the tree of life for SSH x 20, Sun Gods F&R x 10, Abe Vigodas x 10
Mosey to the basketball parking, hearing some mumble chatter from Lassie about cotton pickers,,,
and we did Cotton Pickers x 10, Imperial Walkers x 10, Good Mornings x 10
Cones set up in a square, about 32 yds between each, and PAX divided into four teams.
5 Burpees and bear crawl to next cone, 5 burpees crab walk to next cone, 5 burpees, bear crawl, 5 burpees crab walk. Rd 2 Lt. Dan same format
Mosey to stadium side of the soccer field going the long way through the trail, Thanks Misty for staying in ear shot and asking for directions. The Q isn’t as fast as he use to be.
Four corners/Rack and Stack whatever you want to call it. 30 hand release merkins on the first corner, 30 monkey humpers IC 2nd corner, 30 plank jacks IC 3rd corner, 30 LBC’s IC and plank for the 6 or the Q, samething. The PAX is either really fast or they missed some counts. I’m going with really fast to sound nice.
Rd. 2 same exercise but doing 15 of each.
Mosey the long way to picnic tables for Dips, Step Ups and Derkins, PAX did three rounds with YHC calling on the PAX to help with round 2 and 3. We did 15 the first round and varying numbers from the PAX. Thanks Misty, Frosted, Steamer, Monkey, Crabby and Lassie for the support and Jang on the exercise order. I do remember that Lassie did 25 step ups and that Crabby didn’t wake any neighbors.
Mosey to wood side of soccer field and do one sprint to the first light. Steamer gave his own disclaimer, “If you are over 40 don’t run full speed”. What about 50? This was just a way to get the PAX near the cones so I could pick them up and head to the shovel flag for Mary.
American Hammer x 20 IC
WW1’s led by Deebo
Protractor to finish us out. Misty?? sounded the butt alarm and we hard stopped 6:15
PAX took some time to name the FNG. There were many names thrown out but David Walker is now “Bucky”. Welcome
YHC took us out in prayer with a special emphasis on the victims of the hurricane. YHC gave thanks for our ability to laugh and enjoy each moment of life. We don’t know how many we have left.
It can be a bit intimidating when the young guns, everyone who doesn’t get respect comes to your work out. I know they are there for me as I am for them. I thank you men for your support and the continued challenge to get better as a man of F3, father, brother, christian. Yes Creflo, I am a work in progress.
