It was no surprise that the weather was extremely cold this morning. For whatever reason, I have never had a pair of man tights to wear when the weather turns cold. I have been told by many how much of a difference they make, so with the forecast of cold weather for the next week and a sale at TJ Max, I decided to give it a try- WOW, they do work and they work well. Not sure why it took me so long to try them, but I am very grateful for the man tights this morning! The true temp was 15 degrees and the windchill was 4 degrees- however, it was not too cold for Pasqually or Ram.
Ram and I pulled in to an empty parking lot this morning and quickly discussed an exit strategy if nobody else showed up. It was 5:24 and the white truck of Pasqually came rolling in just in time- so we began- We ran to the front of West Carteret and warmed up- SSHx15, Windmills x10, Sun Gods x10, Reverse Sun Gods x10, Cotton Pickers x10
We then proceeded to run the trail and stop periodically for a set of 3 excercises- 5 burpees, 10 Merkins, and 15 WW1’s. We ran to the Friendly Market light and then turned around to start heading back. It was a typical Dreadnought workout in not typical conditions. Both Ram and Pasqually worked hard and finished strong. I think the most difficult part of the workout was just getting out of bed and making the effort to brave the extreme cold and get in your cold vehicle to drive to West. The weather is always unpredictable, especially in Carterico- we now have extreme cold, extreme heat, extreme wind, and sometimes rain- but one thing that has become predictable is that there will be a F3 workout somewhere attended by a group of strong men working to become physically stronger and mentally stronger in order to become better all around. I am thankful for the predictability of F3 and the strength and support it gives to all of us.
Thanks to Ram and Pasqually for coming out this am and look forward to seeing everyone in 2018! –Bayliner
