First things first, pax compared weather app and car thermometers to find the median temperature [14*-17*], it was determined it’s just balls cold. 4 pax gathered on time, 5:30am HS.

YHC proudly offered the Mission Statement as we began a WARM-A-RAMA MOSEY to the BOONEDOCKS. The wind was at our backs, and this little 3/4mi at an easy pace was in fact Invigorating with these experienced leaders who included some 2nd F as well. We Bear Crawled the length of the pier, once on the dock, just a moment to take in the beauty of our surroundings. The moon was glistening over the calm water and the cold breeze seemed to disappear. A fire pit and a cup of coffee would have been perfect but all I had to offer was…

THE THANG- fast pace, counting down 20, 19, 18…

20 DIPS, 20 DERKINS, 20 DIPS, 20 MERKINS, 20 DIPS, 20 ERKINS

15 LBC’S IC, 15 DERKINS, 15 LBC’S IC, 15 MERKINS, 15 LBC’S IC, 15 ERKINS

10 count IC PEOPLE’S CHAIR/AIRPRESS, 10 DERKINS, PEOPLES CHAIR/AIRPRESS, 10 MERKINS, PEOPLES CHAIR/AIRPRESS 10 ERKINS

PEOPLES CHAIR/ARMS EXTENDED/STORY TIME version [to exhaustion?] – nothing will ever beat Lunchboxes “one time I was in bed, and it was warm”. BearCrawl back off the pier. and there was that brisk breeze again, so we did a little backward walk. This was when I first noticed Laettner had is weighted Ruck Sack on, tough dude right there… Some lunges and CopperHead Squats [similar to a “sit down” for RuPaul] and a lengthy backward walk as we made our way toward the AO.

Surely you’ve all had that “In the Zone” moment as QIC, you know like Micheal Jordan hitting 3’s all night, or Snookie calling out 340+ Monkey Humpers… we began with more dips and I was trying to think of the next exercise, but realized I was quite comfortable calling “down” while the pax counted. So 30 turned into 50, then 70 and it just made good sense to finish with 100 dips, Suh-weet!

In the final minutes, Q had assist from the PAX, Lunchbox- Balls to the wall, Laettner- Boxcutters, Griswold-BossTweeds [yes, right below the church cameras…, QIC ran the clock out with 30 Monkey Humpers IC, 6:15am HS

Announcements- This is the beginning of the Plank Challenge, one day in a row! Wednesday Ruck, watch for the Pre-Blast, Thursday Rolling Stone- Sparkles, snowman building contest? YHC with the closing prayers.

What a beautiful morning it turned out to be. Personally, YHC has faced the fears of the cold and lowered the pain threshold. These men are so inspiring, I never saw this coming in my life. F3 is one of the most exciting and important parts of my day and my life. The cold will not keep me from starting it without the motivation to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.
