Having spent the better part of the past six months either training for a Marathon or training for the BRR and with Wednesday’s becoming my mid-week long run days I realized that I have only posted at the HIN once since it moved back to MHCCC and have not Q’d at the Country Club since the renovation, unbelievable.  I was excited to get back out on the plush green spaces provided by the course and to see who would opt for the HIN verses Kettlebells with Steamer on the Q or the Black Ops BRR run with Hillary holding court!  Never the less I arrived to a spirited core of Bell throwers who were all to happy to provide encouragement and support for me as the HIN Q, thanks for lifting by spirits guys! We gathered as one group and made our way to the lighted area in front of the cart shed for a little warmarama!

Impressive coordination with Steamer for the Warmarama, especially considering it was completely on the fly…I am starting to wonder if we wouldn’t do better Q’ing convergences in the same manner???

We divided into our respective groups, Kettle bells back toward the picnic shed and the HIN group toward the entrance way of the club for a quick warm up lap, onward to Hole 1.

The Thang:

Hole 1:

Partner up and run to the green on Hole 1 at the green perform the following with you partner.

  • 20 Booyah Merkins
  • 15 Partner Leg Throw Downs
  • 10 WWI’s

  • 5 Shoulder Taps IC
  • 5 Plank Jacks IC

Mosey along to Hole 5:

Line up in the middle of 5 Fairway and perform a Bear Crawl Snake down the fairway with each person performing three circuits of the PAX.

Mosey to 6 Tee Box:

  • 10 Shoulder Taps IC
  • 10 Plank Jacks IC

Mosey down 6 Fairway to 6 Green:

  • 25 Booyah Merkins
  • 20 Partner Leg Throw Downs
  • 15 WWI’s

Mosey to 7 Fairway:

Break into two groups of 5 for a Burpee Hurdle Line, each person would hurdle the rest of the PAX in plank position and perform 1 Burpee between each, we did this rotation three times.

Mosey to 7 Green:

Mosey down 8 Fairway to 8 Green:

Mosey back up 1 Fairway performing a Catch Me if you Can.

  • Partner A runs backward, Partner B drops for 3 Burpees and sprints to catch Partner A, flip flop and repeat.
  • Slow mosey back to the Kettlebell group for Namorama and BOM.

Announcements:  Convergence in MHC on Thursday with Vector Victor on the Q, Puddles at Man O War, Navy rolling stones in the west.

Prayers for Vector Victors brother who’s recovering from surgery, Coxswain’s brother who’s morning the loss of his dog, Pedro’s friend fighting cancer, and congrats to Ricardo on his 20th anniversary!

Fryer Tuck took the group out in prayer.
